Hi Pix,
The box is nice and the used materials are nice as well... quality wise quite good, but obviously not as good as an original box. The 'leather' is not propoerly glued to the wood everywhere, but al together it's a nice box.
I think the price was around $100,- ... for my it makes this baby complete
On Risti's someone is advertising all PAV straps new and unworn... he wants to trade them for a nice Panerai. And i guess there will be people offering it as well... thos PAV's have insane price these days!!
A whole collection could fetch up to 3 or 4 thousand... ahum... for a bit of old leather
That's a very nice watch Richard!! I only have my PAM1 and PAM196 left, but inspired by the girlfriend's PAM48 on a tiny, tiny Mario Paci 4 i am considering the same for me in men size... thus a PAM220! I already have the MP4 strap but this really needs a brushed case like the PAM220.
May i ask where you bought it?
Enjoy wearing it
A series would be better indeed... i have a B series caseback and it's quite high in the numbers... in that period B series PAM1 where made with L dials... not T dials... they changed from T to L some where during the B period. So low B series is good and all A series.
I personally prefer A series of course
Including CNY and the rush he had before CNY i've been waiting for more than 5 weeks on a response. I've had it. Do you guys know any other dealer who also supplies parts?
Now i see these pictures i finally understand why MBW sents quite some pieces back to the supplier... And if i where you i'd mail Phong about this and ask him for a new watch with correct CG's. As far as i can see most specs are always the same and are quite good actually. But those CG's suck big time!
The dial is correct for the 7928, this version was probably deliverred with 2 different movements... the ETA movement for the military issued watches and the rolex cal.390 for the privat sales.
There are 2 version with black dial as far as i know... 1 with gilt dial and 1 with a more matte dial... but... there are also version with blue dials specially issued for military purposes. For the French navy with MN stamped in the caseback.. and for the US army as well, but it's not clear if these where stamped as well or not.
The dials are redone dials... at least of all of the dials you can find with dealers like Phong. I think this is quite a nice dial by the way!
All together i guess most parts are very nice... but those CG's suck and i'd ask for another watch with good CG's.
Good luck
WHOAHHHHH... now i'm jealous! I just got the HTC Touch Dual, which is quite a nice smartphone, just because the iPhone is still not available in the Netherlands... and me being Apple freak i really want the iPhone.
So congrats with the new toy my friend... and i'm sure it will grow even more on you. When waiting in a bar on your newest chic... you can check RWG, while on the air and waiting for a song... you can check RWG... guess it's gonna be very vivid here when you're online whole the time
Well... if i where a business man and had to choose between 1,000 messages from customerswho also had to wait for CNY to pass or working on a website that i have been working on for 6 months... i know what i would choose and that's not the everlasting project "website".
I found several pixx on the web with gen 3717's being sold... mostly in the white leather box with black interior. This one is being sold in what i think is the Ingenieur box.
Any opinions on the correct box for a 3717?
I bought the box from Angus. It is the most impressive box i've ever seen repped.
Superlume would suit the watch very well i guess... and maybe a correct cross on the dial... but who will know except us freaks
Thanx for an excellent review! I like that you wrote a review of a different watch... not the most raved about watch, but still a classic beauty for a very fair price.
