  1. exiting... just a few hours of watching movies, Stephane
  2. Ah finally, Rich... congrats my friend
  3. I've been trying to convince Angus for some years not to finally start making good copies of the Compressor series... but without result unfortunately @Dani... ahh, don't rub it in! That's still my favorite watch of the compressor extreme series! Love it, wanna have it... but i first need to win a nice price in the lottery Enjoy mate!
  4. Hi David, Looks like you're right, unfortunately. I found them on 2 dealer's websites, but both had the steel chrono hands and not the correct white hands. Sorry man... no idea where else to looks for a correct one...
  5. Have fun guys!! Hope to meet you too in a few weeks
  6. Hi David, There are several different models and almost all recent models have fairly good reps made of them. So do show us the picture of the genuine piece you're looking for and maybe we can help you finding the right rep
  7. No worries my friend... i'm sure you will get a nice 3717 some day... and i'm pretty sure you will love every bit of it
  8. There are some good Big Pilot alternatives... but IMHO no real good Mark XVI alternative, althought the Fortis ain't bad, Andy. Sorry to read Joshua's reply... he seriously thinks it won't be a hit? I think that's a bad call, but i'm no watch manufacterer or rep dealer.
  9. My 3717 on HK Tan strap and with a calibre 79320
  10. Nice photos, Condemore!! @Shunt
  11. chrono or non-chrono ... buy it if it's genuine. If you don't like it i'll gladly take it from you for the same price
  12. That's a very nice watch, Dave! The more i see pictures of it, the more it grows on me
  13. I also asked about the softstrap on the Ingenieur... again around 200 euro for the strap!! Maybe someone already has the gen rubber strap and can compare the quality and how they feel?
  14. Thanx for the compliment my friend For this watch $200,- or even $100,- would be overpriced for this perfectionist... i'd rather spent $400 on a superrep or $200 on a decent rep, where the PR is working, the datewheel in not too recessed and the crown is screwdown... Here are the specs of the genuine: - Inner case: soft iron for protection against magnetic fields - Glass: sapphire, convex, antireflective, resistant against pressure drop - Crown: screwed - Water-resistant: 6 bar - Case diameter: 46.2 mm - Case height: 15.8 mm - Weight: stainless steel with crocodile leather strap: 147 g So my question... if they made it as 1:1 copy from the genuine, why doesn't it have a screwdown crown? I don't care if it is a 7 day PR movement... but i do care that the PR is functional. And after many, many watches being copied and commented by us... they should know how important superlume is to all of us, especially with such a watch. So when i do the math on this one it looks like it's a part of a 1:1 copy project... part of the case was used in the best case scenario. The dial with a faux PR and a cheap ass movement. And some of us are cheering like this is actually something special. Please... let's stay cool and sensible. This is not the BP we all have been waiting for! Maybe i'm too anal... maybe some of you just get carried away... i still hope you prove me wrong, but i doubt you will.
  15. Have fun guys!!!! CBR -> all the best for your son mate! There will be more GTG's that you can hopefully attend
  16. IMHO the 2006 was perfect... and they shouldn't have changed anything the next years
  17. Mmmm... this looks nothing like what i was hoping for I've been waiting on the BP for such a long time, most of you probably wheren't busy with rep collecting... and than they come with this piece of c r a p ? I am disappointed... waiting for so long and listeing to the stories they where going to copy the movement and even a longer lasting power reserve... now they offer us a faux PR. And the date is too low... and the lume is probably absent or way too weak.... crown is no screw down. ... and they want $200,- for it. And who says our Asian friend don't have a sense of humor
  18. Keep us posted Taka!! This looks mighty interesting
  19. Haven't been reading a lot over here so i completely missed this thread, Stephane. Excellent plan to organise a GTG on New York! And for those who can't make it this time or want more... i will be visiting NY a few weeks later I'm there from september 18 untill september 22. I'd love to meet a some fellow forum-ers! So if you fancy a small GTG, drope me a line
  20. Like the name says the PAM63C is made in the C series only and that was in the year 2000. They didn't have display caseback than and absolutely no automatic with display caseback. The only thing i can imagine is that this is a mystery model... i forgot the name, model number and year, but a few years ago panerai produced a similar watch to the PAM63 that can't be found on any reference website... and also not on their own. But it is an original and official panerai.
  21. That sounds like a good plan Andy! Since Stephane learnt me to drink Pastis i'm hooked when the weather is good and i'm thirsty
  22. Have you guys seen the AR ROO RB on King's website. Unfortunately it's been made with a regular A7750... now it's waiting untill the RB will be made with seconds@12
  23. I'm curious about the status of this project... anyone heard from River?
  24. Thanx
