  1. Uh??? I thought America already was bankrupt, only nobody had the balls to tell them
  2. Hi guys, I have been eye-balling the PAM88's for some time now and imho all of them have some flaws. So i figured why not combine the good parts of several of them... I think the 'ultimate' PAM88 sold by the cartell might be the best starting point. This just because the crystal and cyclopse are already good and it's hard to get single sided AR these days. The dial however is not as good as the DSN dial... The V crownguard i bought can also better be fitted on the cartell case i was told... So thinking out load... the best possible PAM88 would be the 'ultimate' with a DSN dial... but... is it possible to fit a DSN dial in a cartell case? I'd love to hear the experts opinion on this matter
  3. OK, back on topic... GREAT BOX, Rolli !! Really amazing and it looks exactly like the vintage box. With the V crown i know i can some day make a nice Pre-V Pannie of my taste and this box would of course complete it. It's weird to start with a box... but let's do something crazy I am still wanting a very, very good PAM9 or PAM4 or 201/A
  4. If Europe has a vote it would be Obama... i'm from Europe so guess what my vote would be Fingers crossed!
  5. Nice 'black lung', Nanuq !! I have been looking for an aqualung version of the sharky for a long time, but with no success yet... and i miss my old 600T sharky... i was so dumb to trade it for a 750T Sharky but that was not my kind of watch. I should have kept the 600T. Anyways... enjoy that beautiful piece!
  6. I know a good watchmaker who lives in Germany... shoot me a PM and i'll give you his email. He only speaks German so sending an email in English is of no use He performed some nice work on my watches including a graphite threatment on my IWC Ingenieur chrono!
  7. TZ-UK.com is probably the best place to sell it... but the reduced is by far not as popular as it's professional brother and this is also seen in the price...
  8. why not ... no difficult choice i'd say @Jake... guess we disagree. But i must say i'm still hoping they bring one out with no recessed datwheel and better dial. I don't care for a working PR... i prefer to have it in the correct place on the dial, like on the V1. Case, crystal, crown and indeed the deployant clasp look very good.
  9. I guess i already tried to make my point so it's of no use to repeat it. Guess we just don't agree But i sure hope this one does not show the ultimate of "how far we have come". IMHO you can better measure how far we've come on watches like the IWC Ingenieur, Aquatimer chrono, AP ROO, several Breitlings and :oads of Panerai.
  10. Correct... but my initial post was against all these insane pricings! Not only this IWC BP..
  11. Nothing wrong with my English Jake But according to the old standards (at least the way i remember them) a watch could have a great case, a nice crystal, a beautiful crown that screws down smoothly... but have a poor dial print, too low datewheel and faux power reserve... thus not being superduper great, but a nice try from our asian friends. No more no less... And i do call that cheap asian knock-off... maybe that's my sense of sarcasm
  12. Thanx for the insults Jake... good to know you've been around for a long time as well so i assume you remember how we discussed all details of every new replica back at RWCC. Furthermore i need to inform you that in the Netherlands people don't live in caves, we are a very civilized country where we have a government taking car of people's health care, education and pension. I am also aware of the higher prices we have to pay for every day expenses, but i guess in the USA and in the Netherlands i can find a meal in a decent restaurant plus go to the movies for $150 ... but i can also do that for $50. But that does not change my opinion about me finding prices of replicas with asian movements too high, as i do find replicas with imho big flaws not acceptable for $150 or higher. That's my opinion... and i would appreciate it if you told me you disagreed without insulting me.
  13. Nice strap!! Looks really good on the 3717
  14. I'm considering selling my CD 2006. Repaustria aligned the inner bezel and installed ETA day/date wheels. The watch looks like very good... let me know if you're interested
  15. Allright... i love the BP and i'd love to finally see a decent replicated BP. But what scares me BIG TIME is that a 'cheap asian knock-off' for $200,- is widely accepted here on RWG. The new standard price for a watch with an asian 2824 is around $200 and a replica with an asian valjoux costs between $250 and $400 and the protest is almost zero. I am completely amazed by what happened to this forum and the spirit, discussing the flaws of replicas and the reliability of movements and ... the prizes. It seems to me that only one opinion is dominant and accepted... and that's "buy, buy, buy" and please don't come with too many negative or critical arguments. This BP... is a decent $100,- knock-off... but that's it. No more, no less...
  16. Congrats Laz!!!!!!!!! Love that watch so i do envy you
  17. insane! And the rotor still looks like an asian rotor, so it still looks like a fake...
  18. I miss my Ingy as well I was dumb enough to sell it and when it was shipped it sadly got lost in the mail... now the buyer who would really appreciate that piece of beautiful modding, doesn;t get to enjoy it and some smuck who must have stolen it doesn;t have a clue
  19. Hahaha... alright... i will check this one at the AD The Big Ingy with power reserve i already tried, but i think it's just too big. Untill now i'm fully in love with the Ingenieur automatic and Ingenieur Chronograph both in steel.
  20. I'd love to get a nice Rolex Explorer I But before i start looking... i read somewhere it has blue superlume... could someone confirm this? If that is true i will need an OEM dial, because reps only have green lume.
  21. The list price of the Deep Sea is around 7-8 k euro so 10kGBP is slightly too much
  22. I dunno if there's something we can ... i say we keep on bumping this thread
