  1. Thanks Matt...now i know what my next project will be!!! John
  2. Geat work Matt The dial and hands fitted wihtout any kind of modding?
  3. Thanks for your comments guys...but the credit goes to CT,his AR is from another planet indeed .It takes the looks of the watch to a whole different level Especially for the Datora,it brings up the white dial and the silver hands along with the red color of the marks and the date marker. Before the coating the dial looked creamy and the colors were very faint, not to mention the crisp crystal clear look. I will use CT's services again without second thought for my UPO,it is the most essential mod this watch needs in order to get a more gen like look(besides the gen crown and tube which i have already replaced!!!) Thanks again Chief,i am more than satisfied with your services.
  4. Up with some wristshots now...the crystal is just not there...
  5. Ok guys, here it is I just got the 2 watches and they seem to have the superior Chief's AR. The only problem now is that every little flaw in the dials is visible to the naked eye since the AR coating has made the crystal literally vanished. Chief has done an excellent work. For the history,my watches did not need any kind of prep since there was no rep AR on the crystals. Also they were sent to CT with the first of the two batches so if Rocketeer has decided to send the second batch to a local AR lab i was one of the lucky ones. I am posting some pics(every little flaw or mark is due to poor dial quality which i intend to fix by replacing them, and not due to the AR quality) Chief will also be able to see the AR and tell us if this is his work The greenish effect on the top of the crystal is due to the reflection of tree leafs As you can see there is no sign of a crystal installed
  6. My two Breitlings are in the post office as we speak,i got a notice to go an get them so hopefully tomorrow i will be able to post some pics and let you know about them. John
  7. Weekend with PO and Breitling leather strap for a change Saturday morning i will go with a Blackbird and a diver's rubber strap
  8. Ever consider in using her skills for some vintage projects Ubi???
  9. Well the biggest difference is that the gen comes out only in white gold version,at least i think so. But it looks like a nice rep though. Thanks for sharing Mikey
  10. Planet Ocean for me today...35 Celsius outside... as you can see my hand skin starts to peel off!!!
  11. J what a great review..i wish i could post reviews like yours mate!!! Although i am not a great fan of the AP i read the review cause i know you always deliver well documented reviews. Thanks for your time and effort James Don't stop keeping us all informed and educated with your thing!!! John
  12. The EXP II is one of the most beautiful watches i have ever seen.I got 3 versions (2 reps(CHS ANS IHS and 1 Gen with the white dial) and i am really mesmerized by the overall looks of those watches.A definite keeper for me and a must have for every Rolex fan out there.
  13. Excellent review as always James For me the only annoying thing in this superb replication is the IHS. Although it is more reliable and hardly noticable, for me it is such a turn off. I guess i am hanging on to much in this place with you guys and i am infected with the perfectly moded watch virus!!! I was lucky(or unlucky depending on the reliability of the movement, although it keeps great time after all these years) to recently get an older noob version with the CHS which can get the gen dial. Today i sent it over to Domenico for a movement swap along with a clarks crystal to fit this model...i think it is going to be a blast!!! I will post pics after this project is finished. The only thing that i will have to change in the near future will be the dial with a gen one and it is done. Thanks again James for your effort and time to make this review John
  14. Still the BK 16570 The gen crown really makes a huge difference
  15. Just got it back moded by Domenico BK Noob 16570 with gen crown/tube
  16. I am also waiting patiently for my two breitlings... We will see how this will turn out eventually ... I have not tried to contact him since i know there is a good chance that he will not answer to my e-mails... i have already tried to contact him for a project but he never replied back. We shall see my friends... John
  17. Ok guys I have just received my noobfactory 16570 recently bought from BK(great guy btw ) back form Domenico.I had sent it for a gen crown/tube replacement...First let me say this guys...Domenico is the one of the kindest people i have even met.He even sent the watch back to me without even asking to get paid for his work first..what a great guy... Now...i will let the pics speak for themselves my friends...i have also included some comparison pics next to my gen snowflake ... Now...i am about to sent to him a noobfactory 16570 with the CHS and the old case which fits a gen dial for a bezel(the left one is the correct) clarks crystal and dial replacement I will post pics as soon as i got all the parts together and after i get the watch back from Domenico.
  18. Thanks to Domenico and Demonslayer who helped me source the gen crown and tube!!!
  19. I just got my UPO back from Domenico,i had sent it over for a gen crown/tube replacement. I got to say guys,Domenico is one of the most nice people i have ever interacted with. His communication skills are excellent,he has been replying back to all my e-mails almost at the same time. He did a great work with my UPO and i can't wait for my 16570 to be ready,i have also sent it for a gen crown/tube replacement. Of course the ultimate work for me will be the franken 16570 with CHS,gen tube/crown,gen white dial(yes i am lucky enough to own an old case 16570 with the correct 27,5 dial size!!!)BK'snoob bezel and Clarks crystal once i manage to source the gen dial and hands!!!I know Domenico is the right watchmaker for this job!!!
