  2. Thanks. I spent hours searching, and it took you pro's minutes. Thanks!
  3. Ok, my two reference books (Rolex Vintage Sports Models, and The Rolex Report) are seriously lacking. A Google search just added to my confusion. Forum search, too much info to parse. So to the experts here: What is the correct bracelet/end-link combo for a 'later' MKIV DRSD 1665? (I think I can deduce that 'early' 1665's should be 9315/380) What is the correct bracelet/end-link combo for a GW 1665? Next- What would be correct for a 'late' 1680 non-red? Any difference than say a Red? Finally- Did Rolex ever make a solid mid-link bracelet or is that pretty much a rep/aftermarket thing. Any comments on the accuracy of this: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU in advance!

  6. Great to see Eurotimez back up to speed. I think your participation in the forums is a great way to boost confidence. I am getting ready to put together an order with you guys as a result. Sending an email soon. Keep up the good work,

  10. @Freddy333 do you recommend the Bergeon 2461? I came close to adding to my order. Toys!
  11. FYI, the "Fuzzy Logic" AceTime winders while great for gen's, and ETA 28xx movements, will fail to keep A7750's and other one way movements wound. Even at their highest setting of 1000 TPD you are only getting half of that in one direction. 7750s and many other one way movements need around 650 TPD. Still love my AceTimer, but FYI...

  14. Thanks KB for bringing us back OT. @OrenG, actually I was at the AD because they called me about a watch I was waiting for them to get back in.
  15. Wow, that grey dial is sweet!
  16. I don't think a US based store would be up for the consequences for taking someones watch: 1.) It is possible the idiot received the watch under false pretense of being a gen. Imagine the surprise. 2.) Bad publicity. 3.) Legal ramifications if the sales rep made a mistake. 4.) If the idiot has the gen on their wrist already and bolts as mentioned above.

  19. So I was at my favorite AD over the weekend. I am talking to my usual salesperson when this guy walks up to the Panerai display. He had his girlfriend in tow, whom I am guessing he was trying to impress. He proceeds to try on a PAM, and sits his YM Rep on the "pad" provided by the other sales rep. At this point I am arms length away from him and the YM. Within seconds I notice, flat/flush with bezel crystal, wrong date mag, and a choppy 21J movement. My sales rep catches me checking it out, and looks over as well. Looks back at me, smiles, and shakes head. Nothing is said, nothing needs to be. The girlfriend seems impressing he is looking at such an expensive watch. The AD's are not as dumb as you might think. Especially with the obvious low end stuff. Friendly reminder-- don't take a rep to the AD.

  21. I love how casual this appears, and even how haphazardly they handle some of the watches. Fun, very fun. Thanks for sharing.
