  1. Very nice. Given the dial characteristics, it looks correct for a circa 1973->
  2. One more thing since you are using BSD. You can simply use "dd" at the command line. Get "all" the drives showing up. dd if=/dev/hdx of=/dev/hdy That is an oversimplification, but Google DD and drive image as well. My vote is still for "PING"
  3. As long as the PC BIOS can see the drives you should be fine with Norton Ghost. I no longer use Ghost. Instead I use, and have successfully cloned a 160 EIDE to 160 SATA using both: DriveImage XML - http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm and PING (Partimage Is Not Ghost) - http://ping.windowsdream.com/ HTH,
  4. ATM Tip. If it looks like there is an additional appendage over the card slot, beware. If there is a plastic piece over the card slot-- PULL ON IT. It is not uncommon to find and overlay reader on the machine with small camera to read PIN. It is not uncommon or difficult to duplicate the mag strip onto a hotel key card, and if they have the PIN you bank account might get emptied. Shield your PIN entry from any prying eyes/cameras. 5. Thanks for sharing... This is a great travelogue.
  6. Looks good. A keeper for sure!
  7. Wow, I can't wait until I come up with something worthy of this treatment for a project. Keep up the good work!
  8. Ditto acetimer.com. Just an FYI, if you go A7750 heavy, these winders will only extend the power reserve a few days.
  9. I think you are right on. For a NON-Executive job, I would go Seiko or Swiss Army (based on my collection). For Executive position, I would go with my Gen Rolex.
  10. --Cropped for PG Rating--
  11. No need to pull the crown out, let them run down... This sounds like the winder debate, to leave running or not. If I follow your logic of "quarterly" wearing and swapping your watches. And for sake of argument, 3yr life expectancy on an unserviced A7750. That translates to: -Each watch worn 3 months a year. --Therefore, 4 years = 1 year running time per watch. ---4years x 3 (lifespan) = 12 years of probably being ok before a needed service or repair. I think that is what you are asking?
  12. Wow, coming in late to this post. Maybe I am crazy, but I AM a fan of the bluing, and sheared off pearl. Here is my MBW 1665 in my project bin/queue. DRSD dial, lugs, super dome, and silver flat 3 datewheel are on the to-do list. Hmmm, add a Blue NATO strap perhaps...
  13. Just curious if anyone has Bleached before Baking?
  14. This is excellent. I grew up playing most of these games. At one time, in my old house, I had 9 MAME machines setup in the basement where guests could go down and experience an old arcade. Thanks!
  15. Funny thing is, I think the slow down in posting is actually refreshing. I find myself actually reading more posts-- that I would not have had time for. Selective viewing based on time/volume. Quality over Quantity!
  16. Welcome, if you are anything like the rest of us, you will be spending lots of time here. Hold on to your wallet.
