  1. the angle and location of the HE valve gives it away
  2. I agree with the Chief here. With validated papers AND recently documented servicing, I'd go tops $1500. I've been watching several paperless 6694's for 1300, some as low as $900.
  3. I don't quite agree that they are quite boys/girls watches. Back in the 60's/70's the watches were all that size, including some current Airking models. The Patek 3919 is 33.45mm and that is definitely not a "boys" model. If we are talking "boys" models, then the 6426 qualifies for that at 29mm. As mentioned, i have this 6426 saved up for my daughter, as it makes a perfect size for a womens's watch, much better than the 23 - 26mm current womens sizes.
  4. i too have been loooking at 6694 and it's dateless counterpart, the 6426 on the bay and TZ. they range quite a bit in price, but I have yet to see one with papers. you can get paperless ones for under a grand, and the one like you show here can go upwards of 2-3k. don't know why there is such a variability in the price. i nearly purchased a 6694 last week, but decided against it. it was 1300 off TZ. no papers. I am in the process of getting a 6694 rep off Silix instead. I already have a vintage gen 6466. But that one is for my daughter when she grows up to appreciate it.
  5. Yes, I have three vintage Omegas, Calibers 562, 601, and 561. These watches are around 45 to 50 years old. One runs at about 3 seconds off per month. (yes, per month!!!!!!) It all depends on how I place it on my nighttable overnight.
  6. Hey, that's my vid The 21,6 movement is the PO from Narikaa, and the 28,8 movement is from Sead
  7. I measure with a digital caliper from 3 to 9 without crown. Why don't you think you have the 45.5 PO? Is it 45.6mm
  8. That seller has been trying to sell that for months. I've been watching this for a long time. He's got quite a few vintage rollies for sale every once in a while.
  9. the white 1 is just a reflection from the lights in the photo. All the markers ar e the same material, colour and texture. It happens quite alot in photos with watches that have metal markers.
  10. $180??? No way it'll go for that. I'm not advocating a higher price, but I just don't see a supposedly "new and improved" PO being any cheaper than what is deemed to be the "ultimate" out there right now.
  11. If it is truly being billed as the super ultimate rep, then it is in the rarified territory of the Ultimate 104 and the super rep Santos 100. Both are ~450. If it falls short of being an ultimate super rep, then no friggen way I'd pay that much. In fact, I'd even balk at paying anything over $400
  12. collosal FAIL!!!!!!!! I tried one on at the local Omega boutique. THis rep misses the mark TOTALLY btw the LM PO was going for $5,800 CDN here
  13. Below $250??? Not a chance. Below $450, maybe. Even Sead's PO which is considered widely to be the best one out there at the moment, was going for $320. I don't want to artificially "inflate" the price for the dealers by mentioning that, but the fact is, if it is going to be an improvement over Sead's, then it's gotta be more than $320.
  14. Someone was talking to Josh and he said that the PO won't be ready till June. Also Josh said that it has only single AR, but a "better" version than the earlier versions, making it comparable to the gen, which has double AR To me, this has got to be one of the biggest tells. Even more so than the happy feet. Modding a Sead PO with a new gen dial and AR will set you back well over $300. Add gen hands, then we are talking to the roof when all is done.
  15. Sead's PO does in fact have the happy feet and a less than passable AR compared to the gen. I have the black bezel orange numbers version and I think that is the best combo, especially with Narikaa's leather strap that has orange stitching on it.
  16. any update from the OP? I'll buy it if there are marked improvements over the latest and best rep out there (Sead). I have Sead's right now. I had Narikaa's before.
  17. I hear ya. I just got an ebay watch part and while it looked good on the ebay listing, it is a total piece of shyt when I got it in my hands. My watch package is somewhere in transit and USPS dot com hasn't even got one entry in it.
  18. I'd get one. 45mm is a bit big for me.
  19. yeah, I was wondering about that too. But I need at least some sort of certainty that a new super rep will come out. Cause if it s just a romur tht doesn not pan out I'll be SOL as the PO is my fav. watch.
  20. I figured that nothing new will come out till at least summer time. Can't wait. I even put away my Sead PO for safe keeping so I can sell it for this new super rep.
  21. yes, it is fixable, I had the same problem with my watch. The spring is available at Ofrei, but you can fix the one you have first. get a needle nose pliers and squeeze the basturd in situ, so the spacing between the spring is tighter. You can also remove the individual components of the clasp and take out the spring and start squeezing it together with pliers as well.
  22. My eyepiece cup style loupe fogs up sometimes, so I would prefer the headband loupe.
