Ask Vac about relume cost. I'm thinking close to $200.
Not sure about gen dial costs but it should easily cost more than the watch.
Dont always believe the photos on their websites.
Vac usually has a long wait list.
CHS - Correct Hand Stack
ICHS - Incorrect Hand Stack
Trevor and prowatch are pricey.
Do the research. Like someone said before, you need to find a case that will accept a gen dial.
Two ?'s
1. Why trevor?
2. I'd go for the ICHS. Someone chime in here but I believe the CHS movts are prone to problems. If you do a little research about the GMT and Exp. II a lot of members have issues with the CHS.
I'd like to buff the polished bezel to a more brushed look like the gen 2 without ruining the color of the numerals. Can anyone recommend a product or method?
My topic is about a bezel and about a specific brand, Faux Pas to post in General and Omega forums?
While i agree in principle with you, heard the dame about a watch in the shower and hot tub. Steam and humidity and air pressure would be greater in a shower like environment. Cooking notso much. How can you coo
k without a legible watch on???
i mainly cook with with the greatest tool watch of them all, The X-33. 95% of rep owners wil never do what is needed to make a rep a water resistent watch and even still I would never trust a rep to be water resistent. I use my Armitron when I hit the pool.
Hey Ruprekt, where did you get your Exp II from? I assume thr white dial version? 8 plan on getting a Exp II in the futureand am interested in how your project goes.
Lucky bastard. I shipped a faulty strap back to PT on the 5th of Nov. and it has yet to arrive. I emailed PT and he forgot all about it! It's all good though, giving it another week.
I got lucky since I only put down a deposit. I was really looking forward to the SD. I am going to have my fav dealer source my a 21j and be done with it. I'm gonna have to control my spending duw to school and some major purchases in life that are coming up. I'll prob try and get a refund from bk, but I'll sit on the situation since I'm in no hurry.
Open case back, adjust (direction depending on how fast or slow it is running), but case back on. Watch the timing, repeat as needed till desired timing achieved? I have a PT 1665 that is a little slow.
Finding a watchmaker (Noob question)
I guess the best way is to walk into a place of business and say "I collect reps, I'd like to know if you will work with me on modding some of my pieces?Trust is another issue I guess for me. Hate to take a watch in and have them keep my gen part and install a cheapo part or swap out the movt (It's not really paranoia if they ARE after you! )
Everyone talks about the need for a Rolex caseback opener, I have used a stick ball and a cheap generic opener and have never had a problem. Am I damaging something by not using a Rolex caseback opener? I never plan on getting any of my reps near water and if I wanted some sort of water resistance I would have it done by a fora repairman.
I suppose using the search feature I will come across pics showing the tools needed and a description and picture of the keyless works. I might scour the for sale section for cheap watches to practice on.
I watched 5 min. of the usa version, it didnt look good. I like tanner faust, he does battle of the supercars here in the states which is petty good. I have been meaning to try torrents for music but i have grow comfy with podcasts. If I could get movies in DVD quality and stream them to my plasma I might try it.
excellent question! my gal wore my TOG and beat the hell out of it.took me a good while to my the bracelet look new. quarz might be the way to go. i always loved hearing "my watch broke, fix it please. i shake it and then "wow! magic"! the tric(((s getting her something that i could wear!
i look forward to the suggestions.
