  1. Looks great. Nice job. What is the spec of the paint you used?
  2. Can't beat the SOH!!! Glad it made it out OK.
  3. Another vote for mesh. Although the orange rubber looks not too shabby as well.
  4. Jury is still out for me. I'll have to come back later and look again. Most important thing is that you like it.
  5. Wow! That looks fantastic! Nice review...thank you.
  6. Sorry to hear about this SFA. Unbelievable thing to happen. I know it's a rep but still...that's just lame. Thanks for giving us all the heads up and for being the first to wade into the unknown
  7. Very sharp photos. Indeed a nice pair
  8. I can understand what you mean but like BT said no need to leave us forever. Just drop in from time to time and say hi. Thanks for all you have done here. L8ter
  9. That thread title just cracked me up Amazing find.
  10. I don't know how you guys can see that from this picture. For me it is inconclusive as the notches in the novodiac retaining ring are not clearly shown. I would need a better pic of the balance area to be sure.
  11. It should look like this if it were ETA. The one in the picture above appears to only have one.
  12. Not sure I've had anyone point an atomic finger at me but I know what you mean. As previously said "common" courtesy is a misnomer since it has become so rare. It is quite disheartening at times but as you said it is good to focus on the good things in spite of the bad. Lots of great people here that enjoy discussion and value your feedback. I know I am one
  13. Excellent information. Thank you for sharing the elusive secrets of the SA bezel swap My only question is what impact the gen ratchet ring would have on the need for the screw extensions. Isn't the need of extension related to the size of the compression ring (aka retaining clip)? Just trying to understand the root of the problem to try and think of possible solutions.
  14. Only tell visible in the shots is the lack of notches in the balance shock for spring removal. Clone only has one ETA has three.
  15. Well the first one is a clone ETA 2836-2. However it is missing a few parts related to the date wheel. I suppose if you were going to use it in a watch that had no date it would be fine. The other appears to be a DG2813 based on the size of the balance wheel. Could be wrong though.
  16. Could be many things. Really need to see inside to judge.
  17. Never seen one...if I had it would be in my SOH now
  18. Let's see 'em. Through the combined intuitive powers of the Breitling guru's all shall be revealed
  19. Of course the only problem with this approach is that ETA has started heading down the same road. 10 years from now, who knows, may be just as difficult or costly to get ETA parts as it is to get Rolex. Maybe at that time the most sought after movement will be the 21J
  20. Thanks for the info and the update. Working great on IE at work for me now
  21. Nice pics. Overall looks good. A bit disappointing that the button has no function. So as other have mentioned previously, I wonder how water resistant this can be made? Especially around the decorative bezel lock button. Any inclination based on inspection as to whether or not it will cause any issues? Also, where did you get your from?
  22. Growing on me more and more. Nice that they added a splash of colour.
