  1. Is this a Rolex bracelet on the Seamaster? Looks good and I really don't like the Omega bracelet (too much stuff going on). Please let me know since I just picked one up from hackR. Playing around with some new strap ideas:
  2. I have been looking around for this tap. Any recommendation where I can buy it?
  3. Does anybody know what size tap to use for this crown?
  4. Got one more: Sugarcane in midtown, sushi and tapas, unusual combination, but great food and the place alone is worth going.
  5. Still in love with this:
  6. mjmj - the king of the faded bezel insert (another beauty)
  7. I worked on this one a bit today (case work, new hands, gen tube, which doesn't want to go all in), but I am wearing it to work tonight:
  8. I bought this and I am quite happy with it (tube and crown): Brevet Crown PS: I offered $95 and got it
  9. PM sent
  10. I will post some pics next week of the boxes I am going to pick up.
  11. WOW. There is a member on some forums that wants to sell a gen and honestly I can't see a difference. Well done.
  12. I will get a few next Tuesday
  13. Thanks guys. Working on the plaque right now.
  14. The lady in the store said it's at least 50-60 years old. Looking at Granada's history with earthquakes in 1926 and 1972 and the civil war from 1979, I think this is correct. She has about 10 more in the store in different sizes. I just picked this one because it had the original lock and key and the size was right for what I wanted to do. I thin I will go back next week and buy one or two more.
  15. Thanks B. and because of you the PloProf will have to get kicked out Can't wait to get it on my wrist (2 more weeks though )
  16. I found this antique store in Granada, the oldest colonial settlement in central america who has a buch of those real old wooden chests (I guess they used to be travel cases). I bought one and turned it into my new home for my old watches. Three levels for watches, parts and straps and it comes with the original old lock and key: I will make a nice stamped brass plaque for it and it's done.
  17. Here is mine:
  18. It looks and feels real good IRL Let me know what case you decide on, I am thinking of a similar project.
  19. Great small neighborhood restaurant: La Provence Grill, Fabio the owner will take good care of you. Great non-tourist club: Bardot, (3456 North Miami Avenue) off the beach, but the best place at the moment. Best beach: between 2. and 3. Street (all the locals still go there). Great sushi at Sushi Siam (55th street Station, also check out NightOwl, the only store that sells Donerix's straps ). Best Pool: Still the Raleigh IMO There is also a great watch store in Bal Harbor on the second level and the Italian restaurant at street level used to be one of my favorites (I lived in Miami for 10 years). Great intimate Italian dining and upstairs lounge: Casa Tua (not cheap, but worth going, great cocktails), 1700 James Avenue
  20. The problem with the MBW case is that the crown is soooo low. There is a nice 8mm crown and tube on ebay (it's best offer and I got it for $95): Brevet Crown Perry: Got some pics of the watch pbdad did?
  21. Has anybody bought one yet? I think the rehaut sucks, but I agree: it could be the pic. I would get one but puretime and my credit card cannot sinc ....
  22. I am still holding out for the next version, but now that my 8 year old son has his own I feel inadequate . Hi only comment: "Why don;t you get your own, Dad?"
  23. Vintage Racing: Test driving my McQueen on prototype racing nato strap:
  24. justasgood: please let me know when it's time Just finished two new bund straps (slowly getting the hang of it), so I actually wore two watches for part of the day: The PN won as usual lately:
  25. Maybe the most authentic looking piece I have seen. I would be surprised if you would ever called out on it. Very well done. Love the work on the hands.
