bones:
Honestly I think the bezel and dial are what makes the big difference. I know that these two items cost twice as much as the base watch, but after wearing this baby for a few days I hate to say this: it's worth spending the money (until they come up with a better version (and I wouldn't hold my breath for that)...
My mom lives in the South of France during the summer and all the rose wines from there are amazing for a hot day (and really inexpensive).
The rest of the year I prefer harder liquor, mainly rum. I live in Nicaragua and the Gran Reserva (7 years) from Flor de Cana is a great and affordable solution, but Zacapa from Guatemala 23 years) is the BEST
Looks like Budapest has come a long way.
I was there about 20 years ago and it was quite wild then.
I stayed in a hotel that was a boat moored on the river, fun, but not very chic.
Fond memories of a place called "Sweet Milk" and there was a cool club in some ruins on the top of a hill....
Finishing a hard day of work in the carpentry shop with a nice al fresco dinner of sepia pasta with mahi-mahi and a bottle of prosecco while watching the sunset, not too bad:
I wonder from what parts they put this one together.
The oversize case makes the whole dial look disproportioned.
But then $78 ...
Just looked up the gen and love it, would look great on a solid steel bracelet too (like a Pre-Daytona):
I aged the NDT bezel (to bring out the brass) and I took down the highest part of the insert (it's a bit too high compared to gen pics), still need to round of the edge where it drops off, but it is easy to sand and polish.
I didn't touch the ImGod dial, it was perfect IMO, but I aged the hands to match the gilt dial.
The constant quest to find an alternative to the metal bracelet for Rolex sport models.
I have experimented myself quite a bit and have to say that at least at wrist shots this looks quite good ( I usually have the problem that it doesn't look so good anymore when looked at from a bit further away and the watch suddenly looks a lot smaller than on the bracelet).
This strap looks good, but $200 is a bit steep IMHO
The only other rubber I ever liked was a vintage tropic:
I am not an expert, but IMO the Yuki case is just as wok-ish as the PT, but a lot more money and you can use the movement, DW, hands and great bracelet of the PT.
I think InGod still has the dial (I already bought two from him).
I know some people say that lug holes are out of place on the PT, but I don't think it's that bad:
It's a PT donor watch with an ImGod dial, NDT bezel and insert and Clark 25-116 crystal.
It's not for sale (I am putting it together for a great member at another forum)
Just checked: No glow on the PT bezel.
The NDT looks much better IMHO and supposedly they have one that glows (this one doesn't either):
As for the wok: I could reduce it quite a bit using a InGod dial that I slightly larger.
I just rolled up sandpaper and went until I got as close as I could to the diameter of the dial, took a couple of hours....
