Hi Freddy, mbw are basically the best vintage Polex replicas you can buy: 1680, 5512, 5513, sea-dweller.... Also the every where seen 16610. This reps cost a bit more than the usual. I suggest reading the whole mbw post you can, to choose a model and learn his possibilities. Of course you can view the mbw in this forum. I myself I am going to buy a 1680 again. Hi, I had a mbw red 1680. I really liked it, but it needed mods, and I hadnt enough patiente, so I traded the watch to repaustria, and I got his beautiful franken 15000 instead: The mbw 1680 i got came from luckyyy. Damn, i was lucky! I asked for the 1680 white letter, but i got the red one instead of the white one. Now I want to buy another 1680, because its the most beautiful reps I have owned so far. Looking at tribal posts I realised how much i loved this watch. But there are some points wich I am afraid of. -The lugholes: the lugholes that come with the mbw are very small. I read here how to drill them, but I am afraid of ruining the whole watch. I would like to know how do people hold the watch and ovoid the watch to move during this very delicate process. Also do I do have to get away the movement and crystal during the drilling porcess? -The dial: the dial in the mbw has no lume at all and seems to new for such a vintage watch. I read a post about luming the dial with a toothpick. I will approach to imitate that mod too. -genuine tropic 127 change: I once bought a tropic 127. However despite being genuine, it stilll had a little bevelled edges. Now I want the crystal flat. I will have to get a good tropic source. any idea? -the crown guards: A lot of info has been said about the crown guards. The crownguards that come with the 1680 are a bit fat. They need to be hand trimmed. And then hand polished to achieve a better result. I dont have a lot of time to perform this operations. At this moment I dont know if buying all the needed tools, or send the watch to a modder. I am really afraid about the lugholes issue. I know that people here can spend a lot modding his watches. I am thinking about selling the franken 15000 to fund the tools or parts I will need. Anybody interested? Another rolex watch I find interesting is the DW 6263. I want a chrono. But I dont have the slightest idea of about how the DW case kit retails for. Can anybody enlight me? I hope his case kits wont be as expensive as the cases offered at ebay. Also I know I can source a veljoux 72 for about 400 euros, but it will need to be serviced. So add 100 euros more... Well, I have yet to see the new hublot big bang trusty has announced. He told us to save hard. Maybe this would be a better option to the chrono I am looking for. Among other things, I have to say that I will upgrade my member status by tomorrow. It has alredy killed me. does anybody knows if we can obtain stainless steel cases from a resin or silicone mold? Perhaps Randy would be so nice (oh yes he is) and make a cast from this empty case. Who is experienced with CNC machines? It seems that nowadays little cnc machines are part of every guy with skilled hands... That would be the first step. We all know these cases are extremely scarce. Remember this? This was a project from a japanese watchmaker, Kazuhide Hirano. I think his work has alredy been talked about here. He used urethane resin. Do you think that this project is much difficult? Who can cuplicate a resin case to a 1:1 steel case?

May I say tourbillon from this forum? He was as fast as hell. Dont forget to ask him for the spacer ring and the clamps. But you wont need those things since you are just replacing the movement. This reminds me that I have to ask him for these particular pieces.

Well, forget about the chicks and the hip hop music. That was just a joke. BTW, my mum teaches catholic religion in a primary school. I would like to add too that religion are man made. This is also suggested by the catholic church, but not directly said. Please let me explain. As we all know the Roman Catholic Church has commited persecutions to contrary thinking people in the past. Everybody may have heard about the famous Inquisition, which took relevant importance in Spain, the Spanish Inquisition. The Church excuses itself about its mistakes in the past and shouts about their new vision. A special reform was made during the II Vatican Council. One of the most notorious things was that priests stop celebrating the eucharist in Latin. Well, the church is changing. Some people may think its changing slowly, others will say its ok. I personally dont mind about these issues because i no longer practice religion. So the Catholic Church is changing. Its changes derives from its very nature: Man Beliefs. I think that if we live enough to see woman as priests or catholic gay brides (I am not against gay ppl) we will realize that the Church as well as other institutions are changing due to public or actual demands. The conclusion to me is that Religion is not dictated by God, but by man. Then I am not going to follow any religion made by the man because I am better than the rest of mortals. Then, I think a Church is similar to another institution. Then I dont take its words literally. I dont take Religion word by word. I previously said that I am not a religious person. But I think thats not all true. I know I am very devoted fellower of I, myself, and my religion. I wish to be associated with buddhism, because the idea of Karma and Nirvana really appeals to me. Also the idea of self-improvement and self realisation without anybody help. Without man help. Too bad I know very little about it. Regards.

I dont mind if the dial is superLumed or not. Furthermore it would be something cool to perform by ourselves! I never lumed any dial however. I think this is a very nice opportunity to own the closest dial. So better dont burn this guy!

I always get excited at looking at your Daytona! I started searching a rolex case but no luck. I asked people in the parts business. They said they wish they would help me. Its justa a matter of time. The movement (EP 400) can be obtained from different sources...So no problem.
