  1. http://qsurl.net/files/12219082634a60f35915b6a_o.png Omega pendant case tube . This is the origional shopping list from Cousins that Pugwash was kind enough to post . Search part number X12870 on Cousins front page, only one item comes up and thats the one you need, plus the crown of course .
  2. If you get a gen crown, you gotta get a gen tube. The reps design is different to the gens, so gep and rep parts are not compatible. Here a link of the procedure some superstar did a while back
  3. ZuluDawn! well, about ZuluLunchtime actually.
  4. I don't really want to commit to a Gen strap until I know that it won't do the same. The ammount of lint that the strap collects is also a problem that I hope the Gen does n't have. At the moment I'm trying it on a simple black Nato and it looks great.
  5. Thats what they all say Just the one, honest ,thats all I need. Why do you think you've got two wrists. Don't leave when were just getting to know you, stick around, if not for purchacing , for the friendly atmosphere and witty banter
  6. When I first got my U2 , the only concern I had was the strap. It seemed to collect micro-fluff and after a few days on the wrist, looks a bit dirty. A quick wash and wipe occasionally ,however, makes it good as new. The problem that I am discovering now, after two weeks of ownership is that the 'Soft-touch' coating , which is sprayed into the Mouldtool prior to injection is beginning to wear off leaving shiny patches around the strap. I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing this and also from Gen owners, would you say that the Gen strap is more durable and therefore worth investing in. The rubber strap on my UPO is still as new after six months Mods, please move if you feel it should be in the other makes section, I just wanted to make as many people aware. Cheers Arniezac
  7. Fresh back from the Jewellers.New battery and seals.
  8. Beautiful crisp, sunny autumn morning. U2 and my local boating lake.
  9. After sleeping on this, and 3 bottles of Henry Weston's Cider I've worked out what has happened. db2 is the 'decoy' winner and the 'real' winner will be announced later today. Thats it, is n't it Admin? Please tell me thats right. Hello! Are you there? No? Are you sure? Why am I naked? I can see right through my hand! Ooooh pretty colours! Whats that beeping? Oh nuts, its my alarm clock. Good morning RWG . What have I missed?
  10. Great review. I've had mine a couple of days now and love it to bits, I'm gonna have it serviced and re-lumed but thats it. Yesterday, I needed to get a key cut, so I asked them (Timpsons in the UK.They do shoe repairs, cut keys and replace watch batteries )If they would pressure test my U2. "Sorry", the guy said "we'd need to send it away to be done because its rated to 200m." I said ,"look closely, that says 2000m " "We can't test it that deep, it will have to be sent away", Like talking to a brick wall, it was "Just do it to 30m" i said, " I opened the back up to have a look and just want to know that I've put it back right" I lied. I did n't tell him it was a rep. I went to pick it up half an hour later and asked, "Well, how did it do?" The guy replied "I tested it down to the maximum our machine will do" "Not 30m? " I said. "It says 2000m on the dial" he said " Our machine will only do down to 100m" "Are you telling me that it is water resistant to 100m at least" "Yes" he says  I have n't even took the back off and greased the o-ring and its passed a 100m pressure test. Unbelievable, this is a mega rep and I can't recomend it enough. The only fault is that the strap seems to collect micro-fluff. I know now that I can run it under the tap though
  11. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The tea leaves were wrong again. Congrats
  12. Its 22mm across the lugs and I must say that the rep rubber feels really good, nice and soft. My problem with the PVD version is that it just looks like there's too much white on the front, but thats just me. If the bezel numbers were more subdued, red or gloss black as to not draw you away from that cracking dial, I might. But then again, its what the gen is like. Time will tell as to how the blasted finish holds up but as soon as you get a scratch on it, your mullered. Its still my preference though, just gotta be careful. Thanks, the AR has a slight pinky-purple hue when you catch it in the light, but on the whole, its very very good indeed. Comparing the AR on it to my other wristy for today. I've never seen a chief AR in the flesh but that must be remarkable compared to these two.
  13. I told you the postman came whilst I was putting up my Wednesday wristy Wed PM, I will be mostly wearing....... Hike, that strap on your Pam, with red stitching, I think it would look good on my Sinn
  14. Many Happy Returns Teejay Mines tomorrow, don't you think they come round quicker, the older you get? Anyway, Skyland for me today ( Did n't have a wiskey bottle ,so the next best thing) The Postman has just come while writing this, and delivered something sinnful !
  15. Tickets purchased Lani. One thing does puzzle me though. Why does everybody think there going to win when obviously its going to be me
  16. Why does your nose run and your feet smell ?
  17. If i'm in the Gents at the time, not even a nano second I admit, one of the first things I do when meeting new people is to have casual glance at whats on their wrist. This is by no means a way of pre-judging them, its just that I love watches, and, if they notice me noticing I usually say 'Nice watch' and leave it up to them as to whether they want to talk about it. As for identifying a rep, I struggle if i'm looking at pics on here to spot em, I'm hopeless, nevermind in the real world. I also have the habit , when watching TV, to shout out 'that's a... ' or ' He's wearing a...' can't help it. As for anybody who asks if a watch I have on is real, in my eyes they are as much as calling me a to my face. Rep or Gen, makes no difference to me. Personally, I would never dream of putting someone in a position where they feel they either need to lie to me or admit that they have a fake watch on. It makes for an uncomfortable situation. Who knows someone who, when you show them something that you have just bought, does n't say 'Thats nice' or 'I like that' They say 'How much?' .....Its the same guy! Oooh sorry about that, I was stuck in rant for a second. Now , where was I........
  18. When I upgraded recently, I sent the payment as a gift. PP charged me around 40 cents for the transaction, but no fees like they normally charge. Thats from the UK to Planet RWG I always send as a gift unless its a purchace from a proper buisness. Would n't want to arouse suspicion. And sending within the UK I don't recall ever being charged to send gifts. Howabout only letting people with Breitling Aerospace lumeshot avatars enter Or do you think that might exclude our core demographic too much. You could call it the 'Lets not bother having a raffle and just give it to that nice bloke Arniezac free giveaway bonanza'
  19. It goes without saying. If the result is comparable to the Chief's AR then I would imagine you will be very popular in the EU. I for one am very hopeful that this takes off. Fingers crossed for your first crystals mate
  20. That is one sweet looking UPO . Congrats . I'd love to get mine looking that good at some point but I just don't think I could put that much money into a rep. Maybe gen hands and a Chief A.R'd crystal and i'd probably call it a day. Going by what you've done so far, I don't think you'll have any trouble. Very little skill is required to fit the tube and you managed to get a gen insert to fit the rep bezel, from what I gather, thats not a simple task.
  21. Amazing video. There's even some Wire Erosion Machining about halfway through the vid, I do that
  22. The more expensive of the two has the moddified movement to get better sub-dial spacing by the looks of it. I suppose your paying for extra coggidge ( I thing I've just invented a new word) I don't know about anybody else, but when I see UPO I automatically think of a non chrono Planet Ocean. I'd hate to think someone might order the wrong rep because of getting the name wrong.
  23. After recent events involving my UPO and its near death experience (theres a recent thread in the omega section if anybody needs a wakeup call as to how fast things can go t**s-up when tinkering with reps ) I thought it was best to take my Aerospace to an Authorised repair center. There's one quite local to me, so I dropped it in this morning and they'll have it for around a week to do a basic maintenance service, new battery, seals and a pressure test . No messing with Gens for me...........ever!
  24. Yeah, I saw that too. He makes my p**s itch. The thing is , the guy is minted so you'd expect him to wear an expensive watch, but he's in a party that is supposed to represent the working man on the street. How can any of them say that there in touch with 'the people' when their watch costs more than most people earn in a year. Don't suppose its a rep by any chance? how good would that be. That movie in your sig is amazing, not one punch lands Ooooh its gone!
