It has been a bitter sweet Month.. after over 10 years +++ "Our Gym' is closing it's doors.. (I jus used my Blackberry phone for the pics.. I had to take some for the memories) from "The Gym" to Golds Gym.. the lease will not be renewed ... this is the Back Power room where we spend most of our time away from the air con. front .. as you can see most of the benches and plates have been removed...there is a second floor with the aerobics room .. martial arts .. etc. but this is where the stong man competition is .. the training ground that is.. soo many memories.. sorry jus that some of us have been together what seems like our whole life nad our lives have been so closely knit.. through the years.. marriages.. babies.. trophies.. dissapointments.. ...LIFE.. now all the plates and bars are leaving.. many custom made for the training of different levels of power lifting and competions all of us have been together through most of our adult lives.. I guess I'm not one to voice what I want in front of the rest at the gym.. but it has been a part of our lives forever.. to see friends on a daily basis and to support each other through thick and thin.. so much has happened good and bad through the years.. some of us know each other better than our families do.. the Governor of California has been to Hawaii twice recently to give the eulogy to his dear friends that were some of the founders in Hawaii body building..that helped him when he first came to America We lasted through multiple gyms but managed to stay together.. we have a gym that Golds is transfering all our memberships to.. but there will be too much tension there, it was sort of our rival .. so I decided to slip out to another gym that used to be the meca for all power lifting and bodybuilding until all the World and Gold gyms opened.. well for me it was back to grass roots so to speak.. so I was surprised when asked where I was going .. and members are deciding to go there too.. so there is a ray of hope that we will stay together.. the GM of Golds told me that he's in with where I go.. so it is going to be a busy rest of the month.. cause the first thing that came to my mind is if my friends are taking a leap of faith .. then I will do my part .. "Group rate".. wish me luck to come through for the team.. the pics on the walls are all originals.. from the "day" ... all our photo's are hanging from past events and contests,.. members are starting to take them down and take them home.... the dumbells are all in the front.. but for the "Gym rats" .. the back room was our bread and butter.. the front room has pics from the 50's and 60's all a "history of Joe Gold and for some of us the 70's anwd 80's was the era that as youngsters we wanted to start "working out" .. Now only memories are forthcoming... but at least we have those.. so a New Beggining .. even after all these years.. I didn't take pics of the larger front.. to respect the members there.. but it is errie.. how empty it is..

OK.. that's what I was wondering,.. the only place where Logistically it could of landed and be taking so long is SOSF... they have a long History of dragging their tail ends.. and legally they can hold the parcel for 90 day's.. although they rarely do this .. most times it's 1 to 2 weeks.. I had one package held for 30 day's until SFO customs released it.. but they did release it.. that's why I like LAX.. in and out... the Good news is no one will be knocking on your door.. they jus like to play the game in the Bay area sometimes.. all will be well .. the alternative is to order another rep and tell andrew LAX please... that way you'll get one then 2 when SFO releases the first.. I know I'm not a great help..

I am embarrased to state how many watches I own up to now.. .. but in reality I love them all... in cycles.. and yes I often womder about the "anticipation" .. it is very addictive.. in some respects it calms me in the crazy business that I'm in ... and I am the same as far as when the "Hunt" is over and the anticipation of the "arrival" is over.. I'm already looking for my next "prey" to stalk.. for example I jus ordered Nato and Zulu straps .. about a dozen of them..(buffet).. hey, they were at a good price what can I say.. and after reading your post on the Euromariner.. well .. guess what.. the One project that is elluding me is the 1655.. because it has to be "right" and I have already gone above and beyond what is considered "sane" for that one.. it's like knowing when to leave the card game...at times I fail miserably.. Nice to know the Watch Ward is full of the same mind set... or is that a good thing ?... figure I should get as much now .. cause if I settle down again.. Mrs. Lani will not be as generous..

Dani - fyi.. all court documents can be viewed through various web sites.. state by state or otherwise .. and the conviction and sentence also Your not the one breaking any laws by doing this.. there is no "privacy of information act" for felons .. unless they are a juvenille..

This is a typical tracking from USPS... at times they may forget to "scan" the parcel .. as I am sure it left LAX sometime yesterday.. thsisdoesn't happen often,... I should be recieving it today actually ..mid-morning Label/Receipt Number: EB08 XXXX 311C N Detailed Results: Inbound Out of Customs, August 18, 2008, 8:39 am Inbound Into Customs Inbound International Arrival, August 17, 2008, 10:18 pm, LOS ANGELES Foreign International Dispatch, August 15, 2008, 11:53 pm, GUANGZHOU EMS, CHINA PEOPLES REP Origin Post is Preparing Shipment Foreign Acceptance, August 15, 2008, 8:41 pm This would be an example of a parcel that was not "seized".. but held for 30 day's to be sent back to the sender for improper documentation... so if your parcel is in the inbounds mod from customs and is posted there for a week and you have not recieved it... then you may recieve a letter informing you that the item in question will be sent back to the point of origin.. unless you provide proper paper work... do not respond in anyway shape or form... the parcel will be sent back to the dealer.. With Ubi's method to vintage the bezel and bruce79's vintage method on the pearl... one variation .. I used wood stain instead of varnish.. I used the stock MBK bezel insert.. practicing with this before I do the 1680 and the 1665 DRSD..that Ziggy Modded... until my confidence level is apropriate.. but I am very happy with the results.. just these simple alterations give the MBK out of the box rep.. a very nice vintage appeal..I posted pics to show that even I can do this.. so have fun with yours... and thanks to Ubi and b79..

So you like Divers.. and more on point ; Do you like AR ?? OK !!!!!!! First a Team Shot of "some" of my divers timepieces But the reason we are here is to challenge all AR's..The rep - genuine - Chief's.. all look good.. but let's see ? Roll CAll .... left to right... Replica ~ Genuine ~ Chieftang... These images have not been digitally enhanced.. jus lighting as BT say's.. The Hands look blurry .. this is due to the full straight on lighting .. it has nothing to do with the focus !! Chiefs AR had the most light head on .. I will swap positions of the watches to show no manipulation in lighting BTW... both are genuine dials .. so the comparison is "controlled" Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water.. Well, anytime (IMO) that you discuss aesthetics.. it becomes very "subjective".. my taste have evolved from really liking the Purplish "Hue" to just plain liking the look of the dial and not the sapphire.. so you decide and choose for yourself Aloha~Cheers R

basically we all can "read" the time without AR.. granted AR makes it easier on the eyes.. but if you are attracted to the "Dials" then the double AR brings out the aesthetics of each dials "art work" As for your calling it "stupid".. try using the thesaurus..it may help in your posting I would rather see the dial than the crystal ???
