  5. AAHHHH.... WS as in WORLD SERIES .... baseball .. wooden bat ... round white ball .. oversized leather glove.. not winter glove..
  6. @ UB .. thanks man... @ Giorgio.. truth be told .. wish this was wrapped gold.. but i like it none the less.. thanks G
  7. Well Ok,.. maybe just one more.. I had to take care of the "itch" ... this was a better remedy than cortisone
  8. SMP not as accurate as the UPO .... UPO better quality in crown .. tube .. etc.
  9. I have the same machine ... but I haven't used it to gold plate in ages. you can actually build up a pretty good layer of plating ... the thing is doing it on car emblems is one thing ... cause your plating the nickel under the chromium... steel is another thing .. the plating does not go on as even with the electodes ... nickel is easy, steel :yucky: I only have the chemical acid to bond the nickel and aluminium Actually my cousin is a jeweler .. manufactures hawaiin hierloom.. has a complete production shop .. I could ... if I bought the gold for plating... he works with 14 and 18K .. engraving and lost wax .. mostly engraving hawaiin bracelets and rings .. but it may be possible to use his equipment to plate. i would just have to buy the strips of gold for it... all it is, is chemicals and positive electrical charges .. it's really how you treat the metal your plating first... if members are interested .. i could inquire ... easier to impose on family
  10. taking something that does not belong to you will get your hand removed .. adultery will get your head taken off.... I worked for a company that sent some workers there and they witnessed this right in public view.. also it used to be frowned on to consume alcohol .. lucky for me I don't drink but my friends had a hard time .. they love their beer.. wouldn't take a chance on anything .. governed by religious laws.. nuff said
  11. God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change Couarge to change the things I can And the Wisdom to know the difference My sincere prayers go out to your friends Family and to You Laz May God hold your Friend in his Hands always Lani
  12. it may help "you" to do some research on the forum.. for that you may need to sign up to be a RWG "supporter" not that you will get more detailed answers.. but it will allow you to get to the areas with all the pertinent info.. ie. reviews etc. .. Ziggy.. By-Tor,.. Pug Wash..... and a host of others will guide you to what the best movements are and the Reps. that are replicated close to the genuine .. information is the key to good buying and also the key to asking questions.. remember you are dealing with technical mechanical movements.. not just plated bracelets.. although these are reps. they still are working movements ... some better than others and some just not worth the money... so what do YOU want to do.. ask questions without being armed with the "right' questions ? Or get to the heart of what you want to purchase? you cannot expect the collectors to answer 'vague" questions as they do not have the time to 'educate' those that ask.. "what do you think of this rep."? 1.know the movement you are targeting .. 2.get some info on the genuine watch 3. read the collector reviews 4. try not to PM members about their reviews .. their reviews should speak for themselves. 5. you are buying reps. so don't "feel" like they should function .. "just like the genuine" ,.. although there are some very , very good reps out there ... that's why members interchange genuine parts. Like your desk Top.. you are the one inputting the info so it can function properly.. this is the same with our collectors.. you Need to ask the right questions..SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK... I could say the same about members that choose not to donate to the forum .. because without the donations the same members pony up every month so others can whine over what's not being done.. I do not mean to offend you .. but everyone is here to enjoy this Hobby .. so take advantage of the information here and you will find enjoyment in this community. sincerely, Lanikai
  13. Congrats BIG TIME Kruzer.... LIVE STRONG AND WEAR IT WELL ... most awesome Pam i've seen to date
  14. thankyou,... great pre game entertainment to Monday night football... made my Monday
  15. you could put it up for auction on the Board with admins permission then donate the money to support the forum that you find you can insult at will
  16. my first arrival from Joshua had problems and he sent out another one immediately and i sent the 1st back.. now all that needs to be done is a trip to Canada next year.. all we have is time..LOL... and it will be worth the trip to Ziggy and the wait... I wouldn't go with anyone else.. look at the pics from members that have got theirs Ziggified.. nuff said..
  17. Ziggy is not only vastly more knowledable than retail watch smiths... but he does his horological work with a "passion" .. I was very fortunate that he took my 029 and saved it from the trash bin.. no watch smith would have touched it after what hapened to it..or had the ability to restore it.. this community is no doubt (fortunate is not the word... ) special with Ziggy as our in house expert.. we are really blessed...
  18. First of all....... why would a collector give out a web site that undercuts his product ??? just to be nice... that does not sound like any of "our collectors" .. if this Japan connection does "actually" exist .. after Honpo was expelled from Japan, .. wouldn't that show that the authorities in japan are really on top of having others step in.. Sorry .. too many inconsistencies in this so called find of the year for ceramics .... I wouldn't even believe it if I see it.. maybe we should ask Andrew directly.... think I'll do just that
  19. Sorry for the late reply.. yes the inside of the deployment clasp is polishes.. the entire deployment clasp is highly polished The liks are a peice of cake.. if I sy that then you know it's easy.. (screws) .. i took one off but found it too snug .. like I said earlier if you have a large wrist.. (bigger than 7.5" ) then you need to ask your collector for extra links
  20. Well if you don't know the annual Puyallup Fair ... then you just haven't been a world traveler ... best apples I've ever had great view of Mt. Ranier ... if I remember correctly
  21. Hey POTR what part of Seattle?? I used to live there..
  22. watching two different sports at once is MANIC...... Rutgers - South florida is a CONTEST ! rutgers 30... SF..27 ..58 seconds South Florida possesion .. pass interference just got called on the offense ..SF .... intercepted !!!by rutgers .. that's all folks ... Boston College should move up.. in BCS ... now let's bring it ... SOX ... ok ... not good with MPD
  23. everything here can be reasonably taken car of if you can get an appointment with Ziggy.. the movement is good .. but not serviced well before being released.. date wheel etc. is basic horology for Ziggy.. not for us.. granted it will never be like a genuine but after good servicing should be 100 % better..Quality of service from the factory is sadly .. hit and miss.
  24. My GMT 029 back from Ziggy.. special thanks to Ziggy.. for restoring this watch.. had to order new dial and hands.. Ziggy tried to refinish the previous one .. it was unworkable .. and he fixed the genuine crown which was stripped. the Lume is a work of art !! the date wheel (Lello) works perfectly now... and he switched the cyclops (chieftang) ... My 029 keeps near perfect time .. I just need to learn photography ... just a waste not to be able to take proper photos.. Gmt 029 on Bone Croc.. Thank you again Ziggy for all your patience in this Aloha, Lanikai
