  1. Absolutely beautiful photos of the 3717. I spent more money on the modding of my EL 3717 than any other rep I own. My Ziggification included date wheel ,Super lume as well as 7750 swap and service. Without a doubt the best rep ever, IMO. I too prefer this watch with the SS bracelet. Wear it well.
  2. Owning and wearing these pieces is it's own reward. Works of art. Congratulations to both of you guys. I am truly envious.
  3. Absolutely beautiful photography. Rubber bracelets rule. Thanks. My new favorite...the BSOH with the OR strap!!!
  4. After falling in love with the Heritage, and purchasing the rep, I spent quite a bit of time in the local AD looking at their ONLY Heritage in the shop. To me the placement of the indices and shape and color of the dial and case size and bracelet, etc., etc, and blah blah, were 1.1. Now probably the engraving on the back was'nt perfect, but as far as I was concerned I was blown away with the accuracy of the rep to gen. If these guys on the gen Breitling forum are still under the impression that NO rep will ever compare to the gen...they are sadly mistaken.
  5. I own most all sizes. I have a smallish wrist @ 6.75. My favorite watch is spec'd at 42mm. My MBK PPN. At 42mm this watch is definitely not too big. I quit buying Pams a few years back because most at 44mm were just to THICK, and didn't sit all that well on my wrist. Tried the 45mm PO, and hated it. Never considered a 127. The 42mm 3717 is almost a perfect fit, but still sits a bit uncomfortably on my sub 7'' wrist. However, my most recent purchase was the incredible Breitling Heritage, and it fits my wrist better than almost any of my other sports style models regardless of case size. The shape and thickness of the case and lugs is close to perfect for the 45mm size. To me it is simply a matter of fit. The thickness of most sports models is what kills the comfort and contributes to why many of the (+) 42mm watches seem like wearing hockey pucks. Best fitting watches IMO are THIN cases, like my PPN and Cartier Tank. But the Heritage rivals those for true comfort because of its superior case design. Really size does matter, but it is mostly a case of whatever works for you.
  6. Politics aside, the opening ceremonies were the most impressive show ever. Better get used to it...China is THE power of the future. Hopefully their human rights position will change for the better.
  7. I am normally a black dial kinda guy, but you photos of the white dial are an inspiration. Thanks., wear it well.
  8. Yes, 18mm is way to thick, for any watch IMO. Hockey puck proportions. Hope you have an 8'' wrist. A lot of reps are much thicker than the gens. For me thickness of the watch is THE most important aspect. But I have only a 6.5 inch wrist. Many current 7750 chronos are just way to thick. Best of luck.
  9. Nice. Even nicer with SS band. Wear it well.
  10. Thank you. Beautiful photos. Some nice straps, I must say.
  11. THE most beautiful photos. Thanks for that. Were I a pilot I would buy this watch. Wear it well.
  12. Both Josh and Silix. When ordering at that time, both listed the watch and new OP strap as available.
  13. Over a month ago a number of dealers began advertising the Breitling Heritage OR strap. Has anyone in this forum ordered one of these watches from those dealers making the offer for the 'ultimate' Heritage (with corrected dial) and OR strap? And more importantly, has anyone RECEIVED the watch with the strap...or just strap alone? Thanks.
  14. Very nice watch. VERY nice photos. Good looking strap for sure. Thanks. Genta Rules. Wear it well.
  15. Chrono boy for a few days. Ziggification is sweeping the nation.
  16. The biggest problem is not only the prices for the reps themselves, but the cost to have them serviced after the purchase. Lets say that you have purchased a new rep and you really want it to last (forever). So lets say you spent 300.00. In order to make it last you send it to Mr. Z. well then that SOSF is now worth 450.00. Or if t is a MBK PPN, it now costs 600.00. And wow, if it is a HBB then oh wow, it is now 1150.00. Duh, that is a lot of money. No warranty.
  17. The healing energy is radiating from here, thats for sure. Get well soon.
  18. IMHO this is typical of the latest J/A offerings- that is overpriced POS. Who likes this? Rep or Gen? I'd say the gen is 9mm thick, but the rep is probably 14 - 15. NO THANKS. Fugly.
  19. I sent my DEAD.... BSOH on to The Zigmeister for servicing. The eta movement felt like crap out the gate. Out of the box it lasted 6 weeks before it froze up. Of course this was not a 'super rep' but rather just another CN factory piece that cost 250.00USD. Rob confirmed my feelings saying that none of the eta movement 2824 screws were tight, and that the screws holding the crown had literally fallen out of the housing. To me it is just another example of the lack of quality control coming out of the CN factories . Albiet a beautiful replica watch. Personally I think the Heritage is one of the most handsome and well made divers on the market today. Problem is that many of the 'eta' watches that we are purchasing these days still require servicing, or they are bound to fail, eventually. Quality wise...is there really a difference between an Asian 21j and an eta clone? If both requiring servicing in order to be reliable, why not spend 75.00-100.00 less for a model that offers both? I feel as though ANY rep watch I order these days needs servicing in order to assure it's longevity. Am I the only one? Might as well add 150.00USD to the price of any CN watch you plan on purchasing. My last three reps, EL's 3717, my MBK PPN, and the Heritage, all REQUIRIED servicing. It wasn't something I wanted to do...but rather something I HAD to do.
