Why RWI has removed Josh and Andrew as dealers
jeff g replied to seanf's topic in General Discussion
IF...Jandrew were the ONLY dealers who were offering the best product available, THAT would be a big problem. Fortunately for us they are NOT the only dealers we have to choose to work with. RWI made a decision based on what they felt was the best thing to do for the best interest of their members. WE have a choice of who we want to business with. -
Kruzer, what a great link to luxury bazaar. There is a IWC grand complication I have never seen before, that sells for a mere 318,000.00 Beautiful watches. Thanks for the link.

Has any member here recieved the OR rubber strap and clasp that a number of dealers have recently offered? Has any member ordered and received the lastest BSOH with the OR strap?

Why RWI has removed Josh and Andrew as dealers

OK lets see. Cartel...uhhh,,,that might imply some sort of colusion. Price fix.. Control issues, etc. Not suprising, really. Is it? -
Gosh oh golly, maybe I'll go swimming tomorrow. (I hope 'Watchlover' doesn't mind that I stole his photo)

Has anyone purchased anything from Silix with Paypal?
jeff g replied to freddy333's topic in General Discussion
Purchased the OR Breitling strap using paypal 10 days ago. -
TT, What a great photo. THAT is the EL we know and Love. Thanks for that. I emailed Eddie after that shot. I hope he will check it out.

Bought my first 5 reps from EL. I still hear from him once in awhile. Elvis HAS left the building, but he is still a Lurker. Eddie introduced the Rep forums to the first Pam 112, which sold for over 400.00 in 2004, and he finished up with the TW Best 3717 which he aided with in design with his partner in TW. Best of the best. He was THE dealer,.... WAYYYYYY before the cartel ever came into being.

*Yawn ~ Let's Stir Up Some Controversy ! Question For Vet's...
jeff g replied to Richard Tracy's topic in General Discussion
Spent a lot of dough like many here, but I do not regret it. What reps have taught me is to go for quality (even in a rep) as opposed to quantity. That being said, the first few years I bought over 30 watches. Sold a few, kept most that are unworn, to lazy to sell them. Best part of the deal is that I have purchased only 3 pieces in the last 18 months. So the addiction has been curbed a bit. As far as purchasing gens, I feel like if I had not tried 30 different watches I still would not know which I liked and which I didn't. I know one thing for sure now, and that is....the only watch I really wear on a daily basis is my MBK PP Nautilus. I COULD NEVER AFFORD 25,000.00 FOR THE 5711, that's for sure. -
Come on????!!!!! You guys are kidding right??? There is ONLY ONE most beautiful Diver...and this is it. Oh yea, if we are talking Seiko's then this is the ONLY one...

Took off the PPN for a few days, and put this beautiful watch on for a change. One beauty to another!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy.

Who is responsible?? They are...who suffers...you do. Best bet...order from a CONUS dealer. -
Just saw Spamalot - it was great. Also just saw Jersey Boys - highly recommend it. But my favorite by far was South Pacific at the Lincoln Center - fantastic. Try them all. Spring Awakening is ok, as well. But best of ALL - Go over to Restaurant row, off Times square and go to my favorite restaurant in the WORLD - named Becco. 46th st. betweeen 8th and 9th Ave. Without a doubt the coolest restaurtant on the planet. Italian at its finest. Go for the pasta special each night. @ 22.00 for all you can eat!!!!!! They have a wine menu with 100 wines on it, and they all cost the same per glass- 9.00 per. Can't beat it anywhere in the world!!!!!!! Most importantly - have fun.

Maybe one day THEY will make a CHS with a decent eta movement or a decent Asian 21j movement. Wouldn't that be nice? MAYBE they will make a CHS... when THEY run out of the ICH. Maybe...or maybe not. Perhaps if WE ....uh...STOP.....buying the IHC.

How can I pull off wearing a High End Timepiece ?
jeff g replied to lanikai's topic in General Discussion
OK, I am old, and I live in an upscale locale, and I drive an upscale car. So, I can get away with wearing any watch in the world, and no one would ever make the connection on which watch I wear, or care. And what watch do I wear? The MBW/MBK PPN. The gen Jumbo 3700 or 3800 sells for 10,000 to 50,000.00 USD range. NO ONE even knows or cares what a PPN is. All my peers wear rollis or omegas, or WHATEVER. I am the only guy I know who is a WIS. I am the only guy I know who gives a [censored] about what is on ones wrist. I wear a 3717 once in awhile, and the beautiful BSOH for the water deal. NOBODY cares or notices but me. Wear what makes you feel good. Nobody else care or notices. Even if they do notice that you are wearing a watch...they do not know what the brand is or care. It is all about WE. -

Breitling Ocean Racer strap at Sillix
jeff g replied to a german in denmark's topic in The Breitling Area
I have ordered the black strap. Cost shipped was 66.00. Jay says immediate shipping. When I receive it I will post photo and petite review. Worth the wait. -
Before you leave make sure you go to CUSTO BARCELONA. Coolest casual clothing line ever. Great colors and patterns, for both women and men. I have gotten more compliments for a couple of shirts and t's I bought there than any of the Armani's I own. Don't miss it.
-
The Heritage is the best fitting watch I own. The case style with the down turned lugs fits my 6.5'' wrist better than any of my Pams. The case is much thinner than most large watches and feels really good on the wrist. Try it, you'll like it.

Very tight/stuck screws in a bracelet
jeff g replied to DemonSlayer's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Did you purchase the watch from a fellow forum member, or a dealer? Perhaps the screws were put in with Loc tight. Or a super glue to prevent them from loosening. It seems unlikely that a MBK rep bracelet would have ALL the screws cross threaded. If you have no luck in loosening them perhaps a replacement bracelet is the answer. I was able to loosen my screws on my MBK PPN without any problems? Fortunately. Best of luck. -
This is not only a fantastic 'Dress' watch...it is also the perfect sports watch, and daily beater as well. Of course many might think that a dress watch should have a white dial, but not me.
