One of so many great Canadian exports!!! Along with Pam Anderson (pre crazy plastic surgery), Shania Twain, Elisha Cuthbert, Natasha Henstridge, Evangeline Lilly, & Neve Campbell)
I can definitely tell you this is no Scotchbrite pad. It's actually a dark grey colored pad and it feels more like steel wool, but much finer. It does a great job, and works fast.
A lot of members here tend to buy the rep to "test drive" the watch for a while before dropping the large expense on the gen. In several cases, they end up not really liking it as much as they thought (although I doubt that would be the case with this particular watch). Why not get the rep, test it out, and if you truly love it, shop around for the gen and then sell off the rep on the board here.
It's a Swiss ETA 2824. Now, whether or not it's a genuine ETA I haven't confirmed as of yet.
It's close, but it's not quite like the gen. I was surprised that it had the Saw Type teeth on the rotor bearing.
Yes it is a very thick burly beasty this one! Not used to wearing a watch with solid midlinks. It is quite heavy, but very, very nicely balanced Feels a lot like my old V5 DSSD, although it's not as thick as that one (which is why I let it go). This is a great daily beater watch
That is the big question, now isn't it. Same applies to many of our beloved reps
The other popular question lately: why didn't they just copy the ETA 7753?
Turns out the mark at the crown above the logo was a little piece of sticky tape. A little rodico and some patience and it cleaned right up and looks perfect
Watch bracelet is all lubed up now and feels fantastic! Thanks P4 for the great tutorial with the Rock N Roll Lube
