  1. Agreed on the glossy screen. My MBP 15" has the anti-glare HD screen, and I love it!!! It's the best looking laptop screen I've seen to date, and I have a really, really hard time going back to the glossy screen of my girlfriends Macbook. Sure they make the blacks look better (in a dark room), but the glossy screen is so annoying in well lit rooms.
  2. I think they've got something here. A nice small, light form factor. For $999.00 it's a solid piece of portable technology. I think I really like it!!
  3. Wow! Look at that coin edge bezel! What a beauty!!!
  4. Check out KB's bergies. His Moncler Jackets are really, really nice.
  5. Slightly out from hand shake unfortunately. I liked the lines from the fence though It's a great focal length. The possibilities are pretty crazy
  6. It's a beautiful, overcast night here in Los Angeles, so I thought I'd go out and try a few shots with my Tokina 11-16mm. Comments are very welcome
  7. General rule with FX tends to be that everything decent tends to cost $$$$$. It's pretty amazing though, but I just can't justify the costs of the body and lenses for what I shoot. Maybe in a few years a used D3 will be moderately affordable
  8. I saw that blue one too. Their pictures are so bad often times that it makes it very difficult to judge the actual color of the dial. Seems promising though.
  9. Of course, a week after I get my new Tag, Josh goes and releases and newer version with a Tag movement in it! I'm sure it's not a real Tag movement, but it sure looks nice
  10. Great pics. Quite impressive actually. And the reason for the bridge should be somewhat obvious to anyone who has driven around that area. It's quite slooowwwww. Traffic is always a mess around there. If you are trying to get from Nevada to Arizona in a hurry, it's not going to happen by gong that route. The bypass bridge should be quite nice.
  11. Love the Ti Ubi! Looks great! And the nicely aged dial in there really works! It must be nice and light too, huh?
  12. Here's a really quick pick of my desk at work. I was about 4 feet from the desk when I took this. No flash, no tripod. Just click.
  13. They do, but it's not very well reviewed unfortunately. The fellow I purchased these two from also has a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 VC for sale, but I just couldn't pull it off. He did bring it along to try and entice me with it, and it's pretty nice. The Vibration Control works quite well, if not a little odd. Once you lock in the focus, the lens moves around to counter act the movement of your hands. You see the movement in the view finder and it is really trippy. Seems to work well though. I've been kind of lusting after Nikon's 17-55mm f/2.8, but it's very, very expensive, and no VR too. It's supposed to be an amazing piece of glass though. It would be nice to do a side by side comparison of the Tamron and Nikon just to see if it's really worth the extra $700 for the Nikon. In the meantime, I have the Nikon 35mm DX f/1.8 for the middle, which is a great, and cheap lens!
  14. Looks amazing Ubi! What did the Master do to it?
  15. Well I finally broke down and bought myself a Tokina 11-16mm. Also got a beautiful Tokina 50-135mm f/2.8 zoom lens in the deal (bought them both used). Can't say enough about these two lenses! They are just amazing. I will post some pics in a few days when either the rain stops, or I get some protection filters on the lenses.
  16. ???? I'm confused. There were two posts. The first one was the full teardown which went for pages with comments. Then a week later, there was a follow up to state that the serviced movement was still running quite well. Again, there were a ton of comments and posts and general "Thank you's"
  17. Good luck with that Henrik! Let me know if I can offer any advice!
  18. Nice collection K, but even more impressive is the Cartier! Nicely done!!! Happy Anniversary to you both!
  19. Depends on the condition. Is it serviced? Any sort of service warranty on it? I saw one with a red Date wheel sell on eBay two days ago for around $171.50
  20. Sooooo......does that mean you like it? Awesome awesome watch K!!! Congrats!!! Another fantastic Ubi Build there!!!
  21. Thanks Henrik! Yes, I did. Sorry I thought I sent you a message about that! USB Drive arrived safe and sound! Thanks for doing that for me!
