  1. So I removed the bracelet and endlinks and found the case was for a 16200 with an 'E' serial number putting this around 1990. Love it! Does anyone have any scans of the serial number card for this model? To complete my set, I would love to make a serial number card with the matching serial (and no, I have no intention of ever selling this off as a gen or anything like that - just want to complete the package)
  2. I know this has been discussed before elsewhere, but how hard was it to remove the cyclops from the Clarks crystal Lani? What technique did you use?
  3. the panic and hysteria over there is quite entertaining to say the least!!! There was one guy who even mentioned that he was really worried about it. He said he really wanted to buy a DSSD, but had concerns now. Edit: According to one member there, we are "scumbags"
  4. This one is good too: That was posted on Dec 10, 2009. New wave? Really???
  5. I liked this post: What AD in their right mind would not open up the watch first? Hello? Wouldn't that be the first, and most obvious tell??
  6. Why god, why??? Why must you tempt me with another franken project!!! Man that's a great deal for all those bits and some of the harder ones to find too! Someone's going to be on their way to a great franken project!
  7. Thanks Stephane! You know, my desire for a DateJust is all your fault! Thanks for the great pics and wrist shots! @Ubi - yes, it's total @HackR - thanks my friend!
  8. Congrats guys! And big to wheaton26 for a cool little donation!!
  9. Still wearing the Franken DateJust for Tuesday.
  10. Near Detroit, Chip....I said near! I used to live in London Ontario Canada, which is only about a 2 or so hour drive from Detroit. That would have worked. Unfortunately, Los Angeles is a tad to far just to get a free bench!
  11. Thanks C! It really fits my wrist perfectly! I must agree that stilty did an outstanding job with this one!!! He's the man for sure!
  12. Man I wished I lived near detroit! That would be great!
  13. Looking forward to it!
  14. Yet another reason why I like replicas! We have watchsmiths who do amazing work, stand behind it, and are straight up about the work they are going to do before they do the job! That's just highway robbery O/S!
  15. Very very cool! Thanks again! If you are so inclined, it would be great to see some creative lighting examples that can be used when taking product style shots (ie: watches)
  16. Thanks for the comments guys! I cannot believe how comfortable the jubilee bracelet is! It just wraps itself around the contours of my wrist perfectly!
  17. Switched from the Tudor to this new one! My new Franken DateJust
  18. So, many months ago I announced that I had gotten engaged and that for my wedding I would like to get a nice, simple Rolex DateJust. I was pretty clear that I wanted a simple white or silver dial with stick markers in SS with a Jubilee bracelet. Well, shortly after having made that post, Wheaton26 posted that he had sent me a PM. I checked, and there was a PM with a beautiful Franken DateJust for sale. He had just finished it and had decided that it wasn't quite him. I thought about it for a while, and then passed on it. Well, about a month later, after searching and searching for the right DJ, I pm'd Wheaton again and turns out the DJ was still available. I made arrangements with him and the watch arrived safe and sound this morning! Needless to say it is a stunning looking Franken! Here's what was done to it. All work was done by Stilty. Gen Dial Gen Crown & Tube Gen Case & Case Back Gen Bezel Gen Jubilee Bracelet & Clasp Gen Date Wheel Gen ETA 2982-a2 Movement Rep Hands After Market Crystal Also got a gen case, tags & pamphlets for it too with outer box! Only thing missing is a matching serial number card for the case Anyways, on to the pics: And the wristi: Thanks for looking!
  19. Oh man Kurt! That really sucks. Those are the parts that you lost? Sorry to hear that!
  20. The only thing I would have had is the MBW case that I sent you, but besides that, i don't know what else I might have, other wise I would send it to you in an instant. Will the Tudor be of any assistance? Let me know - glad to help where I can!
  21. WOW! Very nice selection there! Any chance of some close ups of each watch?
  22. Looking forward to it! I would love to see any cool lighting tricks! Thanks!
