  1. Yeah, it's supposed to be the Holy Grail of staking tool guides. Just got this, and I have some idea of what some of the punchs and stuff do, but I'd like to get a full overview!
  2. Hi folks! I'm looking for a copy of The Watchmakers' Staking Tool by George G. Lucchina to buy or copy. Please let me know if you have this??
  3. Very, very cool!!!! Have fun filling up that one!
  4. Nice find O/S!!! Did you ever get the Seiko you were looking at?
  5. Also, just noticed the dial is 100m / 330ft. That's a new one. Haven't seen that one before.
  6. The movement is definitely off. Here's a couple of pics of mine: Also, here's a pic of a caseback (mind you it's a rep, but a pretty good one IMO)
  7. Haven't seen my old Ebel in a while! Looking good F!!! Sporting my Franken DateJust today:
  8. If there was tracking, and proof that they were lost in customs, then I don't feel that you would need to refund the money. That is the risk we all take when buying watches. However, since there is no proof of location of each package, that it why we all feel you must bear all the risk in this. Assuming all works out and you uphold your promise, then if you sell another watch in the future, make sure you ship it with tracking information. Then everyones butt is covered.
  9. So out of the three, is the LH the best one to get? Still looking for some nice upgrades for my 112h thanks to you unreg!
  10. Definition of Responsibility: The obligation to carry forward an assigned task to a successful conclusion. With responsibility goes authority to direct and take the necessary action to ensure success. As a seller, it is a best business practice to ship an item tracked (if not also insured). Unless the buyer specifically states they do not want a trackable shipment, one would assume that the item would be delivered with some form of delivery confirmation. If you had truly shipped the watch/watches with a tracking number of delivery confirmation then the buyer would be able to see if the package is on it's way, where it is, and god forbid, if it is held up or confiscated in customs, then at least there will be some indication of that. You, however, have shipped several watches out without any form of confirmation. So you are correct, it is your word against theirs. However, since you seem not to give a damn about their situation and fail to see your obligation in this, and don't seem to want to take any sort of responsibility for your part in these transactions, I am reluctant to side with you and believe that the buyers are the ones telling the truth here. Own your responsibility here, man up, and do something to help these guys out. Stop being so blatantly cold to these guys and be a responsible human being. Just my $2.00 worth
  11. Great job and probably a great sense of satisfaction too!!! Congrats! It looks great!
  12. I've seen that one before It's quality is unbelievable!
  13. What kind of movement is it? I have the same problem with my SMP which has an ETA 2824-2. Turns out the seconds hand tube was stretched when I removed it and now it does not grab the pin correctly. Sometimes it catches, other times it just sits there even though the movement is going
  14. That 600T Graph is pretty sweet! Not a bad price too! The Searambler on the bay is quite an interesting looking one too. Is that really the stock bracelet that came with that watch?
  15. Amen my friend! One donation movement for the jmb project coming up!
  16. Well I don't have a GMT (yet), but I would like to get one some day, so count me in for one if it's around the 150 price. Thanks!
  17. Out there???? And where would there be exactly?
  18. R, that white dial is sick!!!!! Looks awesome man!
  19. I also have an ETA 2836-2 (may be a clone) but the hands fit on it. It has a date wheel, but it's the wrong one for a sub - may be perfect for a no-date sub. Let me know if you need it. I won't be needing it for anything at the moment. Maybe we can trade for a hand presser set
  20. Nice find! Be interesting to see what this one goes for. It's still got 8 days
  21. I might have a set of maxi hands, but they are for an ETA 2836-2
  22. Would that make for a correct hand stack & properly working GMT IIc? If so, I would be in for one
  23. When did you pick up the searambler Lani? Was that one a recent purchase from the bay?
