  1. The LV or Lunette Verde is the 50th anniversary edition which was released in 2004. Same case as the regular sub but it has the Maxi Dial and Hands. The markers are thicker and the hands are thicker as well. LV: Standard Sub:
  2. Just missed it I'm afraid. It was yesterday (Oct 25th)
  3. Excellent suggestion P4! I think I will do that for sure. @CharlieUK - the minute hand seems to have a slightly thicker area around the lume on the Gen. Also, the lume itself is much brighter than on the rep hands (in spite of the fact that they have been re-lumed). Also, there is something just "shiny-er" about the gen hands. Hard to capture in a photo, but the gen hands do stand out more to me than the rep.
  4. My pleasure A! Glad you guys could make it!
  5. Great pics!! The lighting effects on the crystal's is awesome!
  6. No, I won't sell them to you, but you can have them Paolo! PM me
  7. Lani, where does one find that strap? Two Tall ~ Moroccan Sunset I love it! Edit: I think I may have asked you before, but I can't remember what you said.
  8. How soft and pliable is that strap Marty? It looks great!
  9. I got the hands when I purchased my WM9 v1 sub from Star69. It came on an LV dial and Gen maxi hands. My guess is they were enlarged for that project to fit the ETA movement. I swapped the dial and movement with a noob sub and kept the hands for a future project (turns out - this one). I also agree JoJo. A better crystal would be nice. The etched coronet is pretty obvious. The insert to my eyes looks pretty good, but the pearl definitely needs to go. A gen crown and tube would be a nice addition. That may be the way to go! Good call on that one! The current tube definitely feels like it's about to strip. I need to be ultra careful with it in the mean time.
  10. I like the press a lot actually. The little delrin ends for it are a very nice variety of sizes for each hand. It works like a champ for me! @JoJo - not sure of what else I will do at this point. Any suggestions?
  11. Hi Folks, So several weeks ago, Tanya posted a Submariner 50th anniversary in the watches section. I jumped on it, and it was delivered a couple of weeks ago. I happen to have a Gen set of Maxi Hands that have been modded to fit an ETA movement and I have been waiting to find time to install them. Well today was the day! I have installed the hands and they look awesome on the watch. First off, here is a few pics before I modded the watch: New GEN Hands: Movement removed and prepped for hand removal: So the watch was re-lumed originally. Movement was regulated by Rex. All mods to the watch (aside from the Gen hands) were done by BK. Here are the results: Lume Shot - F4 @ 1.6 seconds You can see the difference between the re-lume markers and the new Gen hands, but I still like it. And of course, the wristi: Thanks for looking!!
  12. Here we go....... missing three watches from this at the moment. I have two on their way to me, and the third I got last week but I am modding it currently so no pics as of yet. To be updated......
  13. LHOOQ that build is excellent! Well done and congratulations. That is a fantastic first post! The 1016 looks so classic!
  14. That Joseph Watches website looks pretty cool Toad. Seems to have everything you could ever want to know. And for $49 euro a year, could be invaluable. I clicked on the "Caliber Database" and the screenshot had a shot of an IWC movement with a complete part breakdown. Could be interesting for ordering parts for the franken modders. Anyone a member of the site that can chime in?
  15. Wow! My all time favorite Rollie! And such a fantastic price! Congrats on the find!
  16. Superb! I agree with Zig. The strap looks amazing with that watch!
  17. the "o" should be squared off on the inside.
  18. Man that's a lot of duct tape! Is there anything you can do with it??? Open a case back on a stubborn watch or fix a bear-damaged fuselage on a Piper Cub! It's truly amazing!
  19. Here's some new pics with the PAM mounted on a Strap Works Original Black strap with Polished Buckle:
