  1. Congrats!! Definitely one of the many that I look up to here! Cheers to the next 10,000 posts!
  2. Well the first hurdle will be to find the 2892 with the DD module on it.
  3. With B today! Love that black bezel!!!
  4. I had a feeling it would be you to pick up that beauty W! Nice pick up!! And yes, Hike is definitely the man!
  5. I don't know R. I was looking a several side profile pics and it looks like the pushers and crown line up pretty well with the 2892
  6. Back to the Tudor MC for Thursday:
  7. Stunning! Whats the story behind this one?
  8. It is entirely possible that the chrono hand tube has "opened up" as a result of you pulling the hand off of the movement. A capable watch maker should be able to determine that and have the tools necessary to close the tube down. If that is not the case, then I am also pretty certain that the A7750 and swiss ETA 7750 do not have compatible hand sizes (I could be totally wrong on that one, but I seem to recall hearing that somewhere). Where are you located? Perhaps we can suggest a watchsmith for you.
  9. What ever the situation Francisco finds himself in, I wish him all the best and hope to see him back posting soon. However, I do agree that some sort of message would have been nice, but the good thing is there is always opportunity to bring integrity back into any situation with simple communication.
  10. Welcome to the forum James! You've found a great community of true watch lovers. Rep or Gen isn't really the issue here. It's a love of all things horological and there is a very passionate group of people here. I am sure you have found yourself a very comfortable home!
  11. Thanks for the comments folks! I think the best bet is going to be to go with the 2892-A2 as well. I think the cheapest option will be to buy an Invicta 0785 Speedway which has the 2892-A2 with DD 2021 module in it. At least it's a watch I won't mind tossing and using the movement as a donor.
  12. Any chance you have the ability to check on the dial spacing measurements?
  13. Just checked Perfect Clones and the Blackbird is not a very cheap donor watch.... Hmmm..... but it is still cheaper than anything else I have found
  14. Now that's an intriguing idea R! I wonder how reliable that would be? The large date wheels might come in handy too to fake the 10 minute counter. Also would the seconds @ 3 mod make the movement too thick? The case is an old school case with a pretty decent slide rule. Chief AR'd crystal, bracelet, crown, two sets of hands (SS & Gold) were all a part of a kit that I bought from a very nice member here.
  15. Ok gang..... here we go. This will be the starting point for my insane new project. Why is it insane??? Because finding the movement for this one is going to be an adventure! Introducing the Breitling Navitimer Spatiographe: I have wanted to build one of these for a long, long time now. I have been collecting parts over the past year and a half for this project and I am still hunting around. I was going to build a black dialed one, but after seeing the one above, I managed to find a gen white dial for this project which I am still waiting on. I think the white really makes this watch pop! And as much as a don't like gold anything, I do quite like the gold hands and markers on this with the SS case. Anyways, on to the teaser pics of what I have so far: The search continues for the elusive movement. Basically the plan is to find a cheap ETA 2892-A2 with DD 2021 module. I need a movement with the running 2nd's at 3. The rest of it I will probably fake. Dial Choice Update:
  16. Wow! That is a beauty! Too bad he wants to destroy it like that!
  17. I gave a full wind at 10:18 on Monday when I last posted in this thread. It stopped at 8:43am this morning. So I am getting almost 46.5 hours of power reserve.
  18. And that date wheel looks really, really nice too It's aged very nicely
  19. Robert you sure do have an eclectic and diverse collection!!! Love that Glashutte! Wearing the other Tudor today
