  1. People service the rotor bearing to silence (or quiet) it ... don't use normal grease!
  2. There was a Mystere for sale here by a member several months ago ... Here is his sales video from the Watches section of this forum ..... Also ... Yes, a real tourby movement is expensive, even a Chinese one.
  3. Congrats on your new toys, and I'm glad you're pleased.
  4. Rep collecting is a do-it-yourself hobby ... that's why modders are important to a community. They can fix anything you dislike.
  5. Welcome, and enjoy your new home.
  6. Watch International "Mary" has been a dealer here for 2 years. And if she says the watch is broken and she has to get a new one ... then that is the truth.
  7. The dealer called "Kuvarsit" in Turkey produced this watch, I think. It's supposed to be great, but I have no direct knowledge.
  8. Homage watches are commonplace. They leave off the branding and trademarked markings. You could also buy her a quartz replica of a quartz genuine watch, like the ladies Chanel ceramic models ... Even genuine models come in quartz for women, so the reps are quartz too.
  9. My 20th wedding anniversary today
  10. if you mod your own bezel, please remember that the GEN DSSD has bezel numbers made of platinum. This is a grey colored metal. It is not white. Do not pour white paint all over your bezel and expect it to be more "gen".
  11. If you send it back, be patient; If it does not vanish into Chinese black hole, you will see it again in a month. Otherwise, have a trusted repair tech fix it at your own expense in your country or as close to you as possible. Personally I understand that this kind of problem is an accepted part of our hobby and would have a trusted repair tech on the forums fix it on my own dime, and call it even. I would never send something back to China. Altho it is great that the TDs offer this service, I would never use it.
  12. Dials are another story. The perfect rep dssd has a trevor dial, modded with superlume of course, dropped into a noobfactory case. Thats as close as you are going to get, unless BK is working on a "perfect" dssd dial, as he did for his tw best sub.
  13. Simple answer: the noobfactory dssd reps had a run of bad inserts over a year ago (almost 2 years now). The inserts were picked out and replaced with Trevor inserts. Search for BAD TEN dssd and you'll see the reason. The Trevor insert is not better. It was the only way to fix the bad run of noob inserts, at the time. It is too tall (thick) and the triangle is completely incorrect, as well as the pearl having no dome at all.
  14. Are you going to use helium for this dive process? If not, then you dont need a working helium valve.
  15. People with leaking He valves normally epoxy then permanently closed from inside the case. If you are really going to dive with helium, remember to loosen your crown in the decompression chamber so your crystal does not pop out Other than this, lubricate the seals and visually inspect the crystal to confirm it is seated fully and not crooked. The points of failure on a dive watch are the crystal gasket, the crown seals and the case back seal. Check them
  16. That's easy. Katt's watch repair is a TD over on RWI forum, and I use him extensively for common movement and case issues. His shop is very close to you. email gkloner at gmail.com

    New Daytona?

Within the last 2 months, someone posted a pictorial showing the new seconds at 6 modification and indeed they are now using jewels in the "bad" areas.
  18. These were discontinued for a couple of years and then about 6-8 months ago they were placed back in production, so they were available again. I do not know their current status.
  19. "anyone knows give me news of mrs Pee Chai and my dear friend for over 10 years if someone can give me information kindly thank Stefano Italy"
  20. It's all the Noobfactory GMT IIc ... here's the best price around. http://www.timesshop.net/215-rolex-gmt-?orderby=price&orderway=asc This dealer is not a TD on RWG, but is on RWI.
  21. Hike, I am loving that DSSD on Breitling rubber. For me, today, it's mister fiddy.
