He has very reasonable 2824 movements but as others have mentioned ... other parts are kind of questionable.

Asian 21j is a catch-all term for a mystery bag of movements. Don't assume that something called A21j was at one point an automatic movement which now has it's rotor clipped off. You are probably assuming that the Miyota clone 21k and 28k automatic movements are the only things called "asia 21j", but these are only the 2 most popular and reliable of the asian made clones/unique asian creations. If the watch you are looking at really has a Miyota clone A21j in it with a removed rotor then YES run away, since the keyless design of that movement family causes breakage if you sneeze on it. Hand winding that movement on a daily basis is madness unless you can repair your own keyless every week or so.

FYI the new DSSD v6 has a stepped date window but it's markers are not as thin as the gen, so this isn't the rep v6 dial.

The same thing happened to me a few years ago when I bought my first rep watch. The B&R 01 in my sig photo cost me $150 and turned out to be quartz when it arrived. I just didn't know any better. A good replica watch with a21j movement has a street price of about $40. Thinking $150 is a fair price for a quartz rep is madness.

I agree. Why try and hear the watch movement thru a closed case back, when your entire point is to regulate the movement with the Kello application? It's worked with the watches I have tried, using the standard iphone inline headset mic.

The chinese 3186 movement is not a clone. It has a couple of parts loosely screwed onto the movements plate to roughly look like a Rolex part. these extra pieces come loose and jam up in to the moving parts. Always avoid these.

Replacing the crown and tube with genuine pieces is the cheapest mod on any UPO ... go for it. It's the most common problem and the least expensive fix ever.

No commonly available mechanical movement is as smooth as "legend" has you believe. 4 "hand ticks" per second is as smooth as it gets even with an actual Rolex. Most lay people expect some magical flawless hand sweep, like an AC powered electric wall clock. That's not the reality tho. That said, you have a lower-beat movement there, and it's not as smooth as it could be.
