  1. Yes. This watch is too big.
  2. Heya folks ~ just a belated short and sweet note on my 3rd anniversary at RWG (May 21) I couldn't possibly know the things I do without the kind support of you all. I'd like to thank the Admin, the Mod team, and all the great members here at RWG for three years of unbridled awesomeness. ttyl JK
  3. I think he must have read about New-Old-Stock Gen crystals on the Forums, and is confused. Those 40 year old NOS plexis are questionable, yes ... not new plexis
  4. Welcome to Thursday! Here's my lovely franken 1680 to start us off.
  5. Do you think this could be why you see a slip in consistency?
  6. Titanium is a well known scratch magnet. There's nothing you can do about that. Ask any owner of a DSSD about their case back. Bead blasted surfaces are harder to maintain, since you can not simply drag a finishing pad across it to erase scuffs.
  7. Luckily that is not the common weld failure. He broke a simple pin with swaged ends. You would have to recreate the pin and the "riveted heads" to fix this.
  8. Didn't We hear last year that the original Nah Piek man died (big brother) ?
  9. Yes I think there is. (not me - no PMs please)
  10. Just gorgeous! Are you on Long Island? We have bunkers and beaches and gray blue seas ...
  11. Do not taunt the LHOOQ His:
  12. Tag Aquaracer 500M, Breitling SuperOcean Heritage, Cartier Pasha SeaTimer, Vacheron Constantin OverSeas (white dial, non-chrono) Some of these do not fit into your size wish list BUT they are all great pieces. Honestly ... why not go for the newest Rolex Ceramic Sub for her? Shiny ceramic bezel, polished midlink bracelet ... get it in Blue! Women can rock Submariners. Ask Sharon Stone I do not know or trust the seller in this photo .. I only use this photo to demonstrate my point to you.
  13. Most painless forum update ever!!
  14. Honestly, the shape of a FM is easy for the factories to replicate .. there is not much to them. It's the strap and the dial you want to replace for the full effect. You're going to pay more for a top shelf crocodile strap than you are for a FM Crazy replica. See Doctor Gran's FM Crazy on an Inspire Workshop ultra-thin hornback strap for photo reference!!
  15. The gen curvex dials above drop right into the FM crazy I bought for my daughter. I have not tried the LI style dial in my own LI style Crazy Hour yet. As far as not being good with tools ... thats what modders are for!
  16. I knew someone would ask that!! And he did not say. I do intend to ask him tomorrow.
  17. Making a watch costs a lot less than you were led to believe. A good solid Submariner rep costs $45 in Asia.
