There are replicas of vintage Panerai and modern, as well .. going back to models from the 1930's ... there is no blanket "secret" to looking for a good Panerai replica, since there are so many kinds. Did you mean your question to focus on the modern versions only? Or are you interested in all of the different styles

DING DING DING!! The cyclops is placed over a busy part of the dial, and makes the watch look cluttered! I saw that some Gen owners had shaved their cyclops off, so when I sent this piece to Vaccum for AR, Lume, and pressure testing, I had him lose the cyclops permanently. Doesn't it look so much better without? As for how close it is to the Gen? SCARY. You can even get it with the SW200 movement .. the same one Tag uses in this watch! No tells through the clear case back. I know someone is going to ask about the pressure test on Vaccum's 10ATM machine; it passed to 5ATM out of the box.

So I had this watch worked on by our resident modder, Vaccum ... if you read my post in the Tag area, don't spoil it for people who might want to guess ... can you see what's changed? I think the watch is better for it.

Sites which use photos of genuine watches are lying to you from the first minute you go to their web site. Why would anyone trust them at all? The dozen or so trusted dealers do not change their names. I dont know what you are talking about, when you say that.

The ebay seller named Toumii has been selling factory second FM dials for years now. I have 5 or 6 from her. She starts her auctions at $15 and I have never paid more than $80 for a FM Crazy hours with small blemishes in the lume. I know she has a gray Crazy curvex dial on the bay right now. Those threegoldbrothers bastards sell the same blemished dials for full retail price. what pricks.

Buy 99$ FM crazy ... Bid on gen crazy dial on eBay, normally less than 100$. Custom horn back another 150 ... And you are all done. I almost forgot .. pay a modder to clean the dial and install it! Maybe re-lume the rep hands as well.
