  1. EMS tracking can be very spotty. Don't worry about it. Since EMS is Courier Mail, it should be treated as "Express Mail" in your country when it arrives, so probably no more than 10 days from China dealer to your door. Once it arrives in your country, your postal service will have the EMS number in it's own national tracking database and you can track it more accurately from there.
  2. It looks like a Fiddy on the left but the crown lever points the wrong way, and the "1950" is missing from the dial. Also the case is not brushed, it's polished and the hands are wrong. Of course I'm not a PAM head, so this could be a totally different model and not a 1950 at all.
  3. Yes, pictures will help ... also, which watch are we talking about?
  4. Your photo reminds me of the South Park television episode several weeks ago. The story centered around the Toilet Safety Administration (TSA) The TSA employees request to "jus' check ya ayss hole" before allowing you to use the toilet.
  5. I meant that the link to WatchMaterial shows the sapphire lenses are not $75 each .. if the entire assembly is $10 with lume, SS cup and lens... then if you can buy just the lenses in bulk lots of 100 ...
  6. This link proves that ***someone*** in China makes the sapphire lenses in bulk. He does not have to buy the entire pearl from WatchMaterial, but he now knows the lenses can be had, and cheaply, not $75 each as his contact quoted.
  7. VICTORY Watch Material sells the entire luminous dot with sapphire cover for $10 US Gold or Stainless lume cups are the same price. http://www.watchmate...?idProduct=1800
  8. Just so you understand, I was not accusing you of doing something shady, I was trying to warn you that some people here react rather violently to stories of "fooling" Gen dealers with replicas, since they feel it raises the profile of our Hobby and is detrimental in the long run to our ability to peacefully and quietly collect replica watches. I'm personally not that reactive about those kinds of stories, and if it's a fun or humorous tale with a happy ending then I don't mind hearing them. Others disagree, and are free to.
  9. Since we are talking about scratches and marks on our replicas, let me just mention here that if you ever see a "scratch" on your DLC or PVD coated watch, it is more than likely metal which rubbed onto your watch from the object you struck. Try licking your fingertip and rubbing it. These coatings are very hard, and normally marks on them are not scratches .. your watch scratched the metal post you banged into, and now a little metal has rubbed off onto your watch's body.
  10. When the plating is thin enough, atoms of the base metal migrate up through the plating and create tarnish on the surface. It is not impurities in the gold itself.
  11. I do remember seeing a close-up photo of a small zip top bag with its contents partially spilled out on a parts store web site. And they were not whole pearls, just the miniature sapphire lenses.
  12. This is driving me mad. I know I saw these for sale by the bag!! I can't seem to find I now but I will.
  13. I know theres a place selling these sapphire pearl lenses. Wholesaleoutlet999???
  14. Put a spot of toothpaste on a Q-tip (cotton ear bud for you Euros) and try to polish the mark away. You cant hurt it, if it is really cracked/gouged.
  15. glass can not scratch sapphire. you might say that donut can scratch steel too.
  16. Are you sure you did not crack it into a painted surface and now PAINT is on your crystal?
  17. ??? Sapphire is almost as hard as a diamond. it is almost impossible to scratch without using a diamond ring. I have worn sapphire crystal watches in a light industrial working environment for three years and not one is scratched after banging on steel posts for years. SO ... how did this happen. It seems impossible.
  18. all mechanical watches drift. not reps. all mechanical watches. you need to regulate it for less drift.
  19. One thing some people here are quite sensitive about us the thought of passing a rep in an authorized dealer shop. We have a culture here where people cruise around eBay looking for our replicas being passed as genuine so members can alert the fraud team there. It's a hobby we enjoy tremendously and some take quite a bit of umbrage at the thought of using the good replica watches to defraud the public or dealers which in turn might lead to more strict legal controls on our hobby.
  20. It does not have to cost over a thousand dollars. You could simply improve the lume or place a genuine dial and hands.
  21. Again these are emotions surrounding a perception. Some people emotionally need to have Gens. That's how they are wired.
  22. Why does an AMG or McLaren Mercedes cost more than a stock Mercedes? It's been modded!! Rousch Porsche! Calloway Corvette! MTM Audi!
  23. I know there is tapatalk, tapatalk HD, and now tapatalk 2?? Three versions of the same app. What a shameless money grab. I use the original. They are thieves for churning the rubble and tricking people into paying full price over and over for bug fixes and minor features.
