  1. He was being enthusiastically sarcastic. That was not a real call for a ban. You see? It was a joke.
  2. It means that Hermes had PureTime's domain name seized. He was back up running the next day as puretime.co ... not .com ... .co

The bottom of his post says - http://snprstrap.wordpress.com
  4. There are a few Forums like these, and among them there are many many trusted dealers listed. You do not have to look around the Internet and guess which are good and which are not. Most of the trusted dealers here have been with us for years. 85% chance the link you provided will take your money and laugh. Just go out to the main page here and scroll about halfway down to find the list of dealers. Try Trusty Time or Watch Eden or ProWatch Polo ... or any of the others. they are all good stores.
  5. You also have to compare apples to apples. You ask me why Trevor sells a sub for 128 and Trusty for $500 .. again, that's a 6 year old model, which probably is no longer available. I just tool another look at that $500 Sub, and I see that it says in the description that not only is it "Serviced" but it's had the case and bracelet modded as well. Take those claims with a grain of salt. The concurrent model from Trusty is $300 with Swiss ETA and $200 from Trevor. So that is more equitable. Like I said, big dealers with big web sites will often charge bigger dollars.
  6. The watches you are asking about from Trusty probably do not exist anymore. They simply didnt update their web pages to get rid of them. That's common in the rep world. When you made your order, they would have told you they are out of stock, and to choose another model. Yes, the N-Factory submariner is the best factory made out-of-the-box version. Modders like BK use some N-Factory models as their base for their much more expensive modded/frankened versions. Someone told you about V2, V3 etc ... those models have not been available for two years, altho some people have no problem confusing newbies with talk about them. The factory making the WM9 v2, v3 Submariners vanished without a trace two years ago. You can't get them unless you want to badger a current owner into selling his. About prices ... sometimes big dealers will charge $100 more for a watch over what a small dealer charges. They are free to charge whatever they like .. it's a free world market. It's the consumer's job to decide who they wish to buy from. A genuine Swiss ETA movement retails for about $160. Of course factories will buy in bulk and pay much less than that. The least expensive reliable Chinese movement is an A21j and we're looking at $17 retail for that engine.
  7. Unfortunately the two watches you dug up from the depths of time are ancient. Look at the bottom of the pages you linked .. 2006 and 2007 models. They cost so much because you are paying the dealer for a complete service on top of the price of the watch. Im glad you asked your questions because paying a dealer for service is like paying a car salesman to spray new car smell for an extra $200. The fair price for a good N-Factory Submariner replica is between $49 and $190 depending on the movement inside the watch. I know that the big dealers charge a lot more, but that's between them and their customers. Some people just don't realize how cheap it is to make a replica watch and pay $300 for a $190 watch without even thinking. Here is a link to trusted dealer "TrevorTime" and his N-Factory Submariner with Asian ETA movement inside, as you asked for. Enjoy. http://www.rwg.cc/to...an-eta-2836-118 note that this is a half year old posting and more current prices http://v.yupoo.com/photos/trevorwatch/albums/2235544/
  8. Hey, my wrist is 7" ... who you callin' a kid? I posted yesterday that NewEgg had the Seiko 5 Sport (automatic) on their daily sale for $88 shipped in CONUS ... talk about just missing the boat!
  9. The ETA Sub can go to Katt in the midwest. He can turn you around in a week but does not work on chrono watches. Shoot GKLONER at GMAIL dot COM a note explaining your needs. He's also a trusted watch tech on RWI
  10. In the USA you're going to have to talk to Vaccum (Florida) or George (Texas) for Chronograph work. Both have a huge workload and you're looking at around 5 or 6 weeks turn around time on those. Vac has his own sub-forum here called Vac's Mod Shop ... you can see his work there and also get his email address there. George is a trusted watch tech on the RWI forum, not here. From what I read on RWI he's backed up a few months, not a few weeks.
  11. On the forum, we "collect" dealers who can be trusted with your money AND with after-sales service. On the main forum page (the one with the live chat box at the top) scroll down about half way and you'll see a big area called Watches, Clothing, Accessories or something close to that. The people in there are all trusted dealers for a few years and more depending. They ship via courier post directly to you and it takes about 5 days if you're near a major postal hub in your country. Here's a couple to start you off ---- http://www.trustytime.com http://www.1-pc8838.com
  12. If it did not break off, then I suppose it needs a bit of thread locking compound on the stem to make it more permanent and since the date in the window looks great I think the movement/dial assembly needs to be rotated in the case a little bit to correct your clockwise offset
  13. What kind of watches are we talking about here? Chronograph watches or normal 3-handed watches. a7750 chronographs need top people to work on them.
  14. Kuvarsit watch sells a different Assolutamente rep than the Cartel.
  15. Enjoy your time here. Welcome to the Forum
  16. Narikaa was a dealer here until last month when he decided to leave ... he has always been a great dealer. I did not know they still made this watch with the backwards crown .. it looks great, tho.
  17. Are you asking about my signature photos? That is a normal, unmodded replica PAM 390 on a stock replica strap that's been worked over with leather cleaning lotion to make it look and feel better. If you go to any main dealer site and search 390 you'll find it. http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_55&products_id=9144
