  1. Another worthy project - I have to say that, having a watch with all the very best available parts: FGD, Matt, Jakob etc. the only thing missing is the engraving on the swiss movement.
  2. This is just the sub that I've been waiting for...
  3. This is fantastic news - where would we be without these super talented members?
  4. Really nice work - a handsome pair of watches. Love the colours in that strap with the yellow stitching - who is the maker?
  5. Nice work - it really is a nice piece all round.
  6. Really - it's hard to imagine how it could be any more wrong...
  7. Some excellent work here - please keep us posted.
  8. Now that Sir, is a really nice little watch. Thanks again for taking the time to post the whole story.
  9. Definitely - Noob V2 all the way... I wouldn't bother with the hybrid - nobody is going to call you out.
  10. I had an early DSN version, as a daily beater, for about two years. This is streets ahead, especially the cannon pin: the DSN had some sort of strange tiny cap over it to hide the hand stack. That said, the graphite dial was absolutely hypnotic and, as Pete says, the 7750 is a workhorse in this roll. As I remember though: the hour hand definitely does not jump.
  11. Great additions to your collection! Been looking at the Challenge with thoughts of getting Phdad to work it over like my PloProf. The only thing is that bulky side profile on the skinny standard strap - have you had any thoughts on a beefier strap? Keep us posted if you come up with anything. Cheers
  12. I have to say that DSN has always been fast - even orders of parts get to the UK in about three days!
  13. Stunning - makes the world of difference to, what is already, an outstanding rep.
  14. I've got several Cortebert staff's and complete balance wheels, at least two of which are 616 - I'll check... PM me next time your on. Cheers
  15. Although Panerai Ferrari reps are undoubtedly some of the most accurate - I have an an 008 and the 030- the association has indeed ended. Official Ferrari watches are now made by Girard Perregaux, however - Tag Heuer, Citizen and even Cartier have all had a go at it. Whilst several of the Girard Perregaux Ferrari watches are specific model related: as far as I know these have never been replicated.
  16. Excellent idea, please put me down for one. I currently use an aluminium single-sider, that is really difficult to get a good grip on.
