  1. Ordered a strap and buckle from Angus. I was given a tracking no. and this is what shows up (using google translate): Aug. 15.: letter sent from Sanyuanli Aug. 16.: in transfer from Guangzhou International Aug. 18.: in Beijing (!) and still there due to "total exports of closure among a package demolition" and "direct exports of the total package closure of the closure"... So it seems that they redirected the letter to Beijing, opened it for control and transfered it to Denmark, where it arrived yesterday and is being held back by customs. I'm glad I didn't order something more substantial...
  2. Great news, Rob. I'm wondering, how is your position in reference to insurance? Here in Denmark we would have to report it, as the accident occured at work...
  3. Cousteau Divers is 44mm...
  4. OmG, that hurts... Hope you get well soon, Rob. Best regards from Denmark, Volker
  5. Josh sells them separately and so does PreciousTime, whom I got mine from. Cheers, Volker Ps.: When you get yours, use contact glue!
  6. Diesel, which used to cost 2/3 of the price of gas, is up around $9.51/Gallon here. I'm happy that my Golf can go 20 KM/liter, having to drive 80 KM to where I work and back, each day... Wow, that's strange, I mean of course eighty KM, but the page keeps showing a crazy smily....
  7. I have, yesterday, he has Heritage bezel inserts for my watch, so I asked him about the strap as well... Cheers.
  8. Well well well, apparently the item is out. Looks ok to me... http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=2056 Cheers, Volker
  9. Well, we are living only 5 min from the sea, people are driving here from Italy, for crying out loud, so we decided to stay put this year's vacation (have a lot of work to do on our house and garden, and besides, mother in law is coming to visit from Alabama next week...). If only the weather was better... So I didn't miss our home theater, used it quite a lot lately. Thanks for your words, bro. Today it's fine (not raining, anyway), from tomorrow on it's going to be up to 30 Celsius, so they say... Let's see, I'm only two days into my 3 weeks vacation. Cheers, Volker
  10. A couple of weeks with shitty weather and a new watch... so I came up with some pics: My "Slevin" from PT, arrived the other day. DSN 127 on self-made strap. I own it over a year now, finally pulled myself together to sand down the CG-pin. It gets a lot of wrist time... Cheers, Volker
  11. For me it's bracelet, definitely. Got my watch from PT the other day... Apart from needing it AR'ed and date wheel changed, it's great. Love it...
  12. Another Dane in the house, great... Velkommen til. Read, learn, enjoy... and spend a hole lot of money
  13. Hi Dani, the Tamron AF 3,5-6,3/28-300 XR Di VC is supposed to be a very good all-round lens. I buy my stuff at www.fotokoch.de or www.fotobrenner.de , but hey, I am a German (speak the lingo) in Denmark (EU - no custom problems) Happy hunting! Volker
  14. Me too (donation and birthday ) Special congrats to Corgi, who beats me by 42 years
  15. Absolutely stunning! Those date fonts are killing me, where/how did you get them, if I may ask?
  16. Yeah, we are coffee lovers... We have an espresso machine (Saeco), that makes great crema (not all machines do). We get freshly roasted beans from a friend who is an expert on mixing different kinds of coffee (Ethiopian, Kenyan, Java...). We use bottled mineral water and we only grind the amount of beans necessary for the number of cops we drink. With espresso, we prefer a bit of brown sugar in it. When drinking "straight" coffee (two-three cops filtered into an Alfi thermo), we don't like sugar at all, only a bit of milk.
  17. No castle, just an old house from 1925...
  18. Thanks guys... Yeah, you're right ryaku, when maintaining this 5000 m2 spot of nature (mowing the lawn alone takes me two hours every week in season) I see it as a park, but modesty forbids... We are not anal about it though, just try to keep it from growing over our heads... The simple pleasures of rural life, huh?
  19. My favorite time of year, finally getting rid of winter sadness and enjoying the outdoors... (lot of work to be done, though). And yeah, a wrist shot too... Mr. and Mrs. AGID with our Julie. Don't remember where the oldest one was, when I shot this. She's 16 and never around any more... Regards from sunny Denmark...
  20. I rather like it, could well be my first Hublot.. and 48mm would look fine on my wrist. Now let's see if they can fix that pearl...
  21. Occupational therapist (currently working with autistic children)...
