  1. Well you certainly have, Darth, judging from your nick and your hilariously funny avatar...
  2. Yep, here too now, completely screwed up (internal server error) .....
  3. From my end the new site is very slow Andrew Cheers, Volker
  4. Great idea and great shots, guys. Here's what I'll be carrying tomorrow on my first day at work after vacation: Volker
  5. The fact that both items are reps, Italian, and have similar materials, coatings and looks, made me take those photos. I kind of imagined Carl Gustaf Gilbert Hamilton (aka Coque Rouge, http://www.kirjasto.sci.fi/jguillou.htm), another great Scandinavian, wearing them on his vendetta on Sicily ....
  6. Great, systematic presentation of a shitload of really great watches, wow.....
  7. Thanks Stephane, I'm glad you like I didn't know I had those skills, actually, I just discovered them having too much time on my hand. Monday morning I have to go back to work after what easily could be the worst vacation ever, 4 weeks of rain and storm. Lots of time to develop what ever skills I have. Cheers, Volker
  8. A few more pics.... (same watches, though) on fur with shell on Alessi Thanks for looking.
  9. Great review, vbarrett. I fully understand your fascination of writing instruments, it could easily become a new obsession (must resist, must resist... ). I have only two fountain pens (gens), my old Mont Blanc.... and the rather high tech German Rotring.... It's heavy as hell, 50 g, has a very silky touch to it and great ergonomics. Use it a lot. Cheers, Volker
  10. Yep Slay, it's 4,5 mm CO2. It's a toy, but great to shoot the Arion lusitanicus ( Iberian forest snail ) in our garden.
  11. Seeing TTK's BR-picture inspired me to "shoot" this.....
  12. Absolutely beautiful, wear it in good health ....
  13. Inspired by Bazz's gorgeous PVD'ed 111h, I ripped the BOB-Crock of my PAM005PVD ( my first PAM ever ) and put on PAM Rubber. My friend Pietro came by, and we did this picture together: and this, later on... Cheers, Volker
  14. I used the monster's spring bars, no problem to pull them out of the gen rubber strap and into the new one.....
  15. I just got my strap from TSS today. It's very light, black polyurethane (PU). It is a real pain in the behind to shorten, as you have to take out a pin-lock thingy that's difficult to grip. My usual tools for strap-work couldn't do the job. I ended up with several bended tools and pins. The pin is hollow and the lock-thingy has a hole through it. But no way could I push the pin out, so I used pliers to pull the lock out first and then the pin. It's on my wrist now, it's looking good and very comfortable. But it's not rubber, it's a bit too thin and doesn't feel "heavy" enough. I think I would like the Oyster-Rubber more..... Cheers, Volker
  16. I have a light box just like that one, got it at www.fotokoch.de. I ditched the ugly blue/gray cloth and made new one from dark blue velvet. The lights are 150W halogen at 7 EUR a piece from a local discount joint. My camera I have connected to my pc through USB and remote software. I'm quite satisfied with my set up, though a dedicated macro lens on a SLR would be better. Cheers, Volker PS.: you don't want to go away those lights turned on, the do get very hot. Even at 150 W.....
  17. I see that now, I must have overreacted somehow . How smooth and silky the PVD - coat seems to be, what a great job Palp did. I would go completely nuts over that piece on rubber with PVD deployant (not that I don't like the black gator and the pre-v, I love it) Wear it well, mate! Volker
  18. Amazing collection and presentation, Bazz. I love the PVD... Did you have the deployment buckle pvd'ed or did you purchase it like that?
  19. Thanks mate, and yes, it is. You're a stick blower too? Cheers, Volker
  20. Thanks for your comments guys, much appreciated! Here are two more. The BR is not getting much wrist-time though, it's too damn big and I don't like the strap. I have tried to get it off, but the bloody screws are stuck, no matter what I try. Cheers, Volker
  21. I found this for the OysterRubber straps: http://www.strappedfortime.com/RubberDiveStraps.html Volker
  22. Thanks guys, it's a pleasure to "show off" and to get some nice comments. It's my 3rd week of summer vacation, it has been raining hammers and nails the first 2, so I had lots of time taking pics. Btw., ByTor, I like your pics (and reps) too
