  1. Nicely done, R! Like night and day difference...
  2. There's not much to get excited over.
  3. Indeed; amazing how something like the proper CG can make such a huge difference! The finishing touch... Very nice!
  4. I don't think my love for the 9411 is any secret And this is a fine specimen, especially after the hand swap! A fine piece for a fine gent. Congrats, A! Cheers! //ubi
  5. 42mm 4th gen franken to kick off the week for me...
  6. 19mm?! Yowzers... That's about 3.2mm thicker than gen... And maybe a little too top heavy for my wrist
  7. M- How thick is this beast? Looks quite massive! But amazing details, dial, function!
  8. I dig the ploprof hands. Decent price... And a very attractive dial...
  9. Gorgeous 27, Z3k0! These power reserves with the arrow hand are quite nice, enhanced further with the nice CG and crown you've added. Looks like a keeper to me!
  10. Beautiful, TMG! Very well done (as per usual)
  11. No 3799 rep that I'm aware of; only the 3789 exists The doppelchronograph movement in the 3799 might be difficult to replicate methinks...
  12. Hmmmm... I haven't seen any quartz movements that perform in this capacity; at least not with seconds at 6:00. I've heard of mega quartz movements like the Omega 1310; I think these sweep pretty smoothly? Otherwise, movements like the Bulova tuning fork movements also operate in this manner, but I don't know that there are any with subsidiary seconds at 6:00...
  13. 3717 franken for Saturday: 16520 franken for Sunday:
  14. This should be a fairly easy fix. The dials are simply glued to the spacer ring; should be a matter of rotating it to the point where it's aligned. The hands and/or datewheel might be off as well, however. Those may require realignment also...
  15. You know you have a watch addition when you tell your wife she has a nice set of lugs And you know she understands your addiction when she knows exactly what you mean...
  16. Sounds like you've got your priorities straight! Hope you're resting up and feeling better soon! All the best... //ubi
  17. Ah, you went with the Spitfire! Very nice! Looking forward to seeing the finished piece with the day/date wheel swap.
  18. 3717-04 (bracelet) for €3250 is a good price ($4600 USD). That's about the same as retail list for the 3717-01 (strap).
  19. Hmmmmm... I just pulled my 3719 from the watch box; feels pretty weighty. I don't have a scale small enough to measure the weight of a watch however, so I can't get you an approximate weight. But it's definitely got decent heft (at least to me). I'll see if I can get this thing weighed over the weekend...
  20. I dunno how she does it, but Mrs. Ubi is just tough on her watches! Indeed, I am glad I opted for the rep for her!
  21. Whoa! Nicely done, VDB! Amazing work (it looks great)!
  22. Is the 3717 on bracelet? If I recall correct, I think that's pretty close to retail list price ($6k AUD = $5400 USD; I seem to remember MSRP is $5700 - $5800-ish USD?). Strap version is $4500 or so retail... Secondary market, they can be had in the $3k range. Hope this helps! //ubi
  23. Make sure she's not too terribly rough with it; my wife has thoroughly demonstrated that ceramic cases can be cracked... Before: After: So, now we're on J12 #2... This time, she's only managed to crack a link or two.
