  1. If you want to sell, you'll need to upgrade your account.
  2. Thanks for the kind words one and all. I spent the better part of yesterday admiring my new Port, and I have to say that I am quite smitten There are a few things that I think I might change over time; a gen dial would be nice to have, as well as chief AR. The only gen parts on the watch right now are the movement, and I believe the hands, so a gen dial would make for a very nice match to these parts. One thing I have noticed about this watch- It is very difficult to capture in photos! That big domed crystal reflects everything... AR should fix that. Yesterday I picked up a cheapie black on black strap; I wanted to test the waters with the color combo, and I also needed something to at least get me through until I can get a proper strap fitted But at least I can finally put my gen buckle to use! Thanks again for your comments. Much appreciated. //ubi
  3. Ughhh. I know how you feel, HD. I've lost some watches as well, but they eventually turn up. Usually, when something goes missing it's because one of my kids ran off with it
  4. I love the idea! Collectively, we have so much content and great works by our members here. It would be great to have a museum in place to showcase the talents that reside here on RWG. Great idea, Andy!
  5. That is truly a unique piece! One of a kind! While the dial side up is a beauty in it's own right, the real work of art is only apparent once you see the back of the watch Well done, as always! Your talent never ceases to amaze me; I'm always looking forward to see what you surprise us with next
  6. I agree- $4400 is a bit high for a pre-owned 16610. I bet you can find one for less if you are willing to wait.
  7. RBII listing already removed... Hmmmm....
  8. I think the price would really be the determining factor, Maciek
  9. I'm somewhat curious to see what they do with the 16520. Mostly wondering if they will attempt to change the subdial positions to group them in closer like the El Primero...
  10. cornerstone- No matter how many times I watch your sig, I can't help but crack up
  11. You can stare at his watch for much longer than you can stare at his girl's rack
  12. I've always admired the IWC Portuguese Chronograph, a simple and elegant 2 register chrono design with leaf hands, but found myself always shying away from this watch; the A7750 mod seconds at 6:00 in the rep has always been notorious for it's reliability issues, and buying a gen wasn't the highest priority on my to-do list. Not because it wasn't worthy (it most certainly is), but rather because there was always something more... Or maybe less dressy for me to want. When Concepta starting offering gen movements for IWC's, things got pretty interesting. When Bricciola started modifying rep cases to accept the gen 79350 movement, things became even more interesting. So, after some inquiries, contemplation and some commitment, I went forward with securing my own modified Port Chrono The next few weeks would prove to be an exercise in patience. Now, usually I like to build my own projects, however the rep case needs to be machined down on a lathe to precision spec in order to facilitate fit of the movement; a task that's beyond my ability or tool set, so Bricciola was asked to handle the handywork. Below are some pics of the process. I have to say, it's a rare day when I'm on this side of project, but the anticipation made this a fun endeavor. And in my hands... Sorry for the poor pics; rainy day here today. Better pics will be taken on the next sunny day Still trying to figure out what kind of strap I want to use with this; color, style, texture, etc. Since I usually wear my watches on bracelet, this might take me a while to figure out what combo to go with... Thanks for looking! //ubi
  13. I agree with McRae- The dial color is important to factor in.
  14. Lani- Gorgeous Slevin! Snowflake for today...
  15. Makes me miss my old BS... Just one of those pieces that I never wore enough
  16. 2nd that. There are some pretty big differences between the rep dial and gen dial that are quite apparent when you have both staring at you side by side. For the relatively low cost, a gen dial makes for a pretty large impact of change.
  17. Just to note- The parts list is not my parts list per se; I saved a copy of it when it was posted prior. I would gladly give credit to it's author, however, I'm not sure who that would be (my assumption would be R2D4, though I'm not sure if he is a member here on this forum).
  18. Hmmmm... Kinda strange how quickly she assumed position
  19. I will concede that the Ian Callum designed XK is mighty nice...
  20. I dunno, freddy. That guy in the Jag looks like a tosser.
  21. The gen bezel is only a direct swap on the 42mm 4th generation PO. You can probably fit just the insert to the rep uPO bezel, but the entire bezel complete will not fit the uPO case. Here's the uPO ref sheet for parts:
  22. Microsoft Notepad is down for me.
