  1. Indeed it is, but that's not his style. I'm used to seeing a table full of watches in his posts
  2. Well done! The great thing about these DJ's is how easily they go together, and how relatively wallet friendly they are as well. If I may suggest just one tiny change- Looks like you need to adjust the dial just slightly to the left (counter clockwise). Looks like it's just ever so slightly off center. But the watch as a whole looks great!
  3. For an easy and cheap fix, you can use an hour marker from a Submariner dial: I used this method before swapping my rep bezel/insert out for genuine parts. Here's how it compares to gen (top):
  4. One of the main issues that I always had with all of my baton dialed AP reps was the shape of the hands. Note here in katerchen's pic, how shapely the gen hands are with the rounded edges, thin section of lume, beveled center base and small hole at the pinion: To me, that has always been one of the bigger flaws, as the rep hands are flat with little to no depth or shape at all: Would be interesting if you guys can commission a correct set of those as well... One thing at a time, I suppose...
  5. Only one piece, Tanfo? Where's the rest??
  6. I'll have to have mine pressure tested...
  7. Hmmmm... That's an interesting thought; it could very well be the same base as the PO case, minus the He Valve notch and with a more shallow rehaut. If you look closely, you can see how deep a PO's rehaut is... Whereas a gen 165.024 has almost no rehaut (it's very slim in there- The edge of the dial is framed by a small metal ring, but that's about it): Compare with the new rep: The rep has a small, shallow rehaut, but no ring around the dial.
  8. Hmmmm... Not anymore... Since the black dial has been re-homed, I don't have the chance to anymore. But I do sport Omegas on each wrist, or IWCs... Those work as well
  9. Damn... jmb's pretty damn close to getting this thing knocked out. I think I might have an A7750 as well... Probably needs a service, but maybe it can serve as a test fitting piece or something?
  10. I've noticed a lot of these... Cinematic actors... Tend to wear the Daytonas quite often as well. And it's not just the guys either. Wifey of Wifey's World wears a lot of nice watches...
  11. Okay... If you were going to stab this into a vintage, I was going to say that the flat top 3 datewheel that Chris has would be a better fit
  12. Difficult to say- I don't think the stem would line up, and if it did, the case is probably too thin to accomodate the 7750. If you want a 7750 based case for this, let me know. I have one collecting dust; it would be gratis.
  13. What are you planning on installing this movement into? Vintage, or modern?
  14. I like the bubble pic too!
  15. Today- 3714 w/ gen movement on a TWB rubber/kevlar strap: Tonight- 3719:
  16. If anyone needs a case for this kind of project, I've got one waiting!
  17. Maybe try GS? I think one can commission custom made sapphires with a 15 - 20pc minimum.
  18. Should hopefully have something that will work. I've got an assortment of rep crowns coming your way...
  19. Beautiful... The whole lot. Those are great builds!
  20. I've not been a big fan of the DSSD, but this puts the watch in a whole different light. I think that looks smokin' hot! Very nice!
  21. Hmmmm... Might be interesting to pick one of these reps up to experiment with a bit. Would also make for a good beater as well
