  1. Indeed, that is a beauty! Absolutely gorgeous...
  2. At that price range, I think it's sure to move quick!
  3. General price range for a gen pre-owned 2200.50 w/ B&P seems to be around $1800 - $2k at the mid - higher end or so; even at those prices they seem to stall out a bit. For a quick move, I hate to say it, but it's gotta be priced under that. If you have some time, you can probably get within that range with the right buyer... Good luck with the sale... //ubi
  4. It looks a bit different from when you originally sold it to me... I refinished the case and bezel, and swapped in a different dial, hands and movement:
  5. Correct, Bike Mike- If, say IWC still wants to use the 7750 for their 79350 movement, ETA will provide the finished/completed movement, no problem. They just won't provide the unfinished 'kits' as they've been doing in the past
  6. There are so many parts and complete movements out there that I doubt availability for such items will be a problem or issue for a long time to come. The decision by ETA may have an impact on price, however... As an aside, I believe ETA is only changing their policy on ebauches as delivered to other watch manufacturers; I'm not sure if that will have any overall impact or change in supplying or supporting service account holders with parts, and the sort.
  7. The 42mm 4th generation is the one to use. Preferrably the later version, as the earlier version won't accept the bezel without modification (the later ones will accept the gen bezel as a 1:1 replacement). Later version- -Gen dial -Gen hands -Gen bezel complete -2892 DW -Gen bracelet complete Earlier version- -Gen dial -Gen hands -2892 DW **Bezel is not a direct fit The POrikaa has some slightly different dimensions- The dial, crystal and bezel are all a bit larger than the 4th gen, so swapping in gen parts may not be as easy due to the size differences. I've not experimented on a POrikaa case yet, so can't say for certain, but judging by the way the gen parts fit the 4th generation case, I can say that it might not result in an optimal manner.
  8. Most aftermarkets that I've seen have a very long thread section where it mates to the case. In some cases, almost too long. It didn't take me long to stop using aftermarket tubes and switch back to gen. Minimal cost savings and big difference in installation, feel, function, etc. For those reasons alone, gen just makes more sense to me.
  9. I've had aftermarket tubes with the inner splines along the top opening, and also inside the actual tube at the base, a la the old design. Kurt- How does the crown feel threading down on the tube? Smooth like gen?
  10. Looks like three to me! No halves about it
  11. The smaller coronet is the newer style crown; the longer coronet crowns are older. Here's a Z serial 116520 with the same crown: 116520
  12. Crown looks fine to me- I've had a number of these with the smaller crown, and all from a source that I can confirm as legitimate. Tube, after what you've stated above, may very well be aftermarket.
  13. In that case, I should send you my entire collection for a spiritual cleansing! At the rate I'm going, I NEED it!
  14. Crown looks legit. Looks like the same crown as mine, which is a newer 703: Tube may be aftermarket, though difficult to tell from the pic. I've seen poorly installed gen tubes with rounded inner spline teeth as well... However, that's usually more prevalent with aftermarket pieces...
  15. Snowflake for me on Sunday as well... Been a while since giving it some wrist time. It's a bit overdue...
  16. It's interesting that you say that, R. Because what you and I have witnessed as of recent is rather uncanny. More than mere coincidence, methinks. You may very well be on to something
  17. The twin to your 9411... Here they are side by side... Dial on yours is mint NOS... One that I had been saving for a long time, hoping to put it to good use. Well, suffice it to say, I can't think of a better way to use it; it's perfect in your watch. Still one of my all time faves!
  18. You may already have the washer. It's hard to say from your pics, but if you did, it should be underneath the actual bezel ring (the piece with the ratchet teeth). If you pop the bezel ring off, you'll be able to confirm if the washer is present or not... Cheers, R
  19. You need a small little wire click, which fits in that hole. The click wire is what provides the ratchet to the bezel. I may have a spare somewhere, or you can probably pick one up from eBoy, like this: Bezel click.
  20. Nice to see yours finally finished. Been wondering when you were going to post a thread on it
  21. Off to a good start! As an aside- Looks like they fixed the bezel on the UN Blue Surf? Looks as though they've introduced the 'insert line' on the edge of the bezel, giving it the appearance of, well a bezel insert within a bezel (2 pc). But I'm not quite sure what they've done to that pearl...
  22. I agree! Crown and guard make for a huge difference on this one! Very nice, RL!
