  1. Beautiful!! Excellent work, as always!
  2. Lani- It's funny. I think I had even more excitement and anticipation with my first rep than I did my first gen. It's an interesting journey...
  3. Sorry elepaolo- That watch was given to my father a few years ago -Gen 16234 case -Gen 16234 dial -Gen crown -Gen 18k WG fluted bezel -Gen 295C -Tudor hands -ETA 2824 -Rep bracelet Easy to build... And with gen DJ case sets readily available on the Bay, this is a cost efficient project as well! The 14270 a few spots above it was also built on the same basic premise with a gen DJ case/crystal with cyclops removed, etc. Building watches is what truly makes this a hobbyist's hobby, whereas gens are more of a collector's hobby, in my opinion. Both are great, but building frankens is more of a hands on approach, which is what I prefer.
  4. I know I would like to have one. Classic watch...
  5. I always enjoy telling people about my adventures in building. Most find it interesting and intriguing that I build my pieces myself. Most end up asking me if I can build them something as well A few of my projects that are either in the collection, or have come and gone... 16520's with EP400/3019's 9411 with the works WM9 16610 fited with a buncha gen stuffs Old MBW 1665 (my old test mule watch) 14270; gen cased franken Old MBW 1680 based 7928 16234; gen cased franken Old Swiss V23 built DW 6263 FGD dialed Pre-A 002/jimmy case watchmaster one off custom inked ubi-dialed radiomir hommage old radiomir hommage with watchmaster dial PAM10 that never really came to light Quality of pics will probably be a good identifier of when these were done...
  6. I'm always hopeful that one of the factories will produce a GOOD Monaco some day (pref vintage). Somehow, I think I'm just holding my breath...
  7. Paul- Indeed, that Zerographer is a nice recreation/hommage using a Lemania movement. There's actually one on the Bay right now that I've been looking at for the past few days...
  8. No denying, it's a unique looking watch! What's even more interesting to me is that the RXW is based on a Rolex design from 1938. Pretty forward thinking for aesthetics... Definitely ahead of it's time for that era. @delta- I think I'd like it much more without the text on the dial as well. Maybe sterile might look best, or maybe just with zeromaster minus the RXW Solid text...
  9. I am not exactly certain why... But I have a strange fascination/attraction to this thing: Always found it intriguing... Anyone else?
  10. I already have my woman... And I already have the watches I want, too (DSSD isn't one of them). So, in my case... And with the choices presented... Neither?
  11. Personally, I prefer PLVCD.
  12. Very nice! And rose gold too! Sweet!
  13. That's correct, Alli- 1030 was the 6536; 5508 was the 1530. Looks as though this is a piece that's been put together from a mish mash of stuff... EDIT: The SCOC font looks strangely familiar... Based on what I see, it looks as though it may have it's origins (or maybe touched up) from HK...
  14. Agreed- This is a beautiful watch and very understated! I love how simple it is. May need to procure one of these for someone I know... At $100, it's a good bargain!
  15. Yes... Details please. I am quite curious to see what these are as I've never heard of them.
  16. Don't be afraid... Just accept it And eventually... Embrace it!
  17. Beautiful! Hard to beat a ziggified (master)piece! Great pics as well!
  18. Great additions to an already great collection of straps! I especially dig the gator and the MMV X! Very cool, V!
  19. Okay... Last time I bother you guys with this stuff. I just did a little more work on the dial... Think it added quite a lot to the overall look: And a quick wristie...
  20. In the past, we'd do this pair as well (even though they're not really matching):
  21. As far as Breitling goes, I've subjected these three to water... No problems, but all three were pressure tested prior to ensure that they were properly sealed/lubed.
