  1. When my wife wants to match, we just go with this combo... Not an every day occurrence, but every now and then...
  2. Pete- I think I just felt my pants tighten. I've not been a huge Breitling fan in the past, but I've been warming up to some of their pieces over the last few years. This particular watch just made me weak in the knees. I love it... Wish it was mine. Cause, man... it looks GOOD!
  3. Look how low those lugs are... That's a big skip in my opinion... Not worth it
  4. When you get it, please post some pics!! I'll be very interested to see this one in better detail...
  5. Whoa. I have no words. Just speechless and with my jaw hinged open. Wow!!
  6. What can I say? The girl likes her diamond Here's a his and her's...
  7. As aligoat said... Hollow is *correct* for the watch, in terms of what the genuine came fitted with. However, your personal preference may vary. Some people like the solid links as they feel a bit more substantial; I know a couple of gen owners who greatly dislike the hollow links. BTW, Rolex has been slowing converting over to solid link bracelets as well. For solid 18K (not TT), links have been solid for some time now. For SS, the change started with the 16622 Yacht-Master and then with the 116520 Daytona. Other models, like the new TOG, etc. have been going solid as well.
  8. ROFL! Yeah... I think I was meaning STRAPS!!! My good sir!!
  9. The addiction never stops. Even if you leave the forum for a hiatus, the addiction will lay dormant, but never truly go away... BTW... I have a feeling you'll like the WM9 the most out of that pair. I Especially like the mod factor with this one. I've fitted a fair number of gen parts to mine... Good thing this is a fun hobby at least. The way I look at it, there are worse things that I could be doing with my money...
  10. Wrist shot of that mofo, plz!!!
  11. I believe it! My orig. Snowflake dial and my Omega 165.024 have old trit dials/hands and both still glow, albeit without any strong intensity. If I sleep with them on, I can read the time in the middle of the night if I happen to wake up. Given that they still glow, there's gotta be some radioactive life left in the lume, I'd think...?
  12. 1st gen 002/009: There's 201/A and 202/A as well for 1st gen... 2nd gen has 002/009 and 201/A only I think?
  13. Thanks for the kind words, guys! I know it's not to everyone's taste, but personally, I really like it. I wanted the dial to look old, aged with patina and character. It's pretty hard to achieve this look artifically, but the dial turned out okay; I was (loosely) using this 3646 for inspiration: At any rate, thanks again for the kind words. It's being able to share little projects like this with folks that appreciate this sort of stuff that makes this hobby fun for for me
  14. Doh! Well, now I feel bad, cause my Dirks all have nice, broken in creases from wearing. Damn. I knew I should have locked these things away in a time capsule! At the end of the day, I suppose there's no point in having if you don't use it, eh?
  15. Oddly enough, it's one of those watches that I think 'Maybe I'll buy one today', but then I always get sidetracked or distracted with something else that pushes the ol' tuning fork to the back burner. Just not one of those high priority things, I guess?
  16. Droooool! Yowza!! That's almost too nice to use! For straps like this, I want to just keep them sealed up and looking new always; no creases, no wear... Absolutely gorgeous!
  17. Yowza!! This is PHENOMINAL Ross! Absolutely gorgeous!
  18. Egads... Talking to Phong on the phone. That is a riot! He's a super nice guy... But definitely a character!
  19. W/ Zathan 764 Lab 328 (ca. 2004) And a better pic of the dial
  20. Hmmmm... Dubs along the Rockies?
  21. This one looks way nicer in person than it does in pics! It will go perfect with all my rusty Diesel jeans
  22. I love mine to death. I think the 9411 is the one I wear most. The Daytonas, Subs... They mostly sit in the watchbox these days...
  23. Hmmm... Can't help much there. The Pre-V case is rather elusive. With the thicker, shorter lugs and the squared corners... That's gonna be tough to find. I know helenarou used to have such a case... But it seems that finding one these days is no easy task. DSN has some cases that would fit the bill, I think? Maybe? When you find one, let me know too!
  24. Dial is tritium... Hands are NOS lumi RSC replacements. Insert is as well...
