  1. Likely to be the one on the far right VVV (WM9 modded). Not 100% sure though...
  2. As the title states- Should 'feeler' posts be allowed for watches that one may potentially want to trade or sell, but is on the fence about (i.e. the owner of a watch is not fully committed to wanting to part with their piece)? The only reason why I ask is because I'm currently debating this situation myself; I have a watch that I adore, but am somewhat on the fence on keeping it. Is it fair to people to post a feeler, but not commit? Personally, the more I think about it, the more I find myself having a problem with the idea as it could potentially create bad feelings amongst parties interested, etc. I seldom see these types of posts out there, but wanted to get the thoughts of fellow forum members. I don't think I'll make any sort of trade or sell post until I decide whether I want to keep or part with the watch, but thought this type of discussion might be a good topic in general to determine the acceptable use of the trade forum (if something isn't in place already- I didn't see anything in the trade zone stickies regarding this). Thoughts?
  3. I'd be in for one. Bring back the old 'closed factory' piece, and I'm sure it would be a definite hit.
  4. So, uh.... Where are the pics of the rep?? Fantastic piece... Looks HEAVY!
  5. Two more for ZZ Indeed... Kind of a shame to hide the El Primero behind a closed back, but it does save me from having to do the rotors, bridges and reversing gears
  6. You can get a pearl a la carte from watchmaterial. Decent pearl; much better than the rep pearls that come on the watch stock. As for trimming CGs, I myself use a small, flat hand file. Takes the CGs down pretty quickly, but still provides control to do a precision job (unlike a dremel type tool). Finish off with a fine grit buff and polish and you're set. The key is to go slow and take your time...
  7. So, these are not from this Earth, you say? I must learn more about this 'Planet Panerai'... Those dials are quite intriguing!
  8. Looks interesting, but it still has 8 days to go
  9. Now that's an incredible looking piece! Are you sure that's not gen??? Enjoy that amazing watch!
  10. Great collection! Any ideas on what the next acquisition may hold?
  11. Arch- Do you have one of these Crazy Hours models? How is long term reliability on the movement?
  12. Some additional pics of a side seldom seen...
  13. Agree; probably better to base a project off of an MBK/MBW as you'd get the right bezel set up with the retention ring. With these CN based vintages, it's typically a friction fit bezel with the bent wire inside...
  14. Bracelets and the sort are usually easier to obtain; when you start getting into parts that are a little more involved with R&I is when you start running into instances of having to bring the watch in for parts exchanging, etc. Things like crystals, crowns, movement parts etc.
  15. You can always do one of those pre-paid cards... Check with your bank to see if they offer them.
  16. VRF tends to be pretty pricey; folks are selling at collector's prices.
  17. AD's will also sell bracelets, though their willingness oft times depends on which AD you are dealing with, and if you have a relationship established already. At times, it's rather surprising to see how much less an AD charges vs. what the same item would sell for on the secondary market...
  18. laz- Thanks for taking us on a tour of your past and present adventures in WISdom I enjoyed the pics very much, and it's always interesting to see how one's tastes and collection evolve over time. Great post! Cheers, R
  19. Very interesting. I didn't think wm9 was issuing watches with rehaut engraving...
