  1. I'm assuming this is a jump hour (and that's not the date window/display)... I don't see any apparent problems with the dial or watch in general...? Nothing stands out at least... Not like this anyways...
  2. 24 hours?! Wow... That's quite a long time... When this typically occurs on my V23 (fully serviced by Ziggy, BTW), it usually runs for 2 - 3 min with a gentle shake. Then it stops...
  3. Adding a couple of misc. pics that I forgot to post... Nothing of real interest, I suppose... Unscrewed....
  4. Your prayers being answered, perhaps?
  5. Ziggy... Truly a one of a kind! Very nice...
  6. EMS also delivers on Sundays and Holidays in the U.S.
  7. Royal Oak Jumbo today... Nautilus Jumbo tomorrow...
  8. I replied in your other thread as well... I believe the motion of shaking the watch (manual wind and mainspring unwound) is causing the balance spring to oscillate... Thus causing a bit of movement from the seconds hand. That's about the only thing I can think of. I have a v23 manual wind movement in one of my vintage frankensteins... It exhibits the same charatceristic (along with a couple of others).... I'm sure Ziggy can clarify what's really happening
  9. Neat piece... What's the alarm sound like? As for your watch starting with some motion (with the mainspring unwound)... The only thing I can conclude is that the motion is causing the balance spring to oscillate... I notice the same behavior in some of my manual wind watches...
  10. Neat watch, dadog, but kinda burned out on the ol' coronet... Was thinking maybe something for the Mrs... She's had her eye on a Zenith Queen of Hearts for a while now, and the AD is only 20 min away...
  11. Thanks for cheering me up, guys! Indeed... A bit of a bummer when it rains on a freshly washed/polished/clay barred/waxed car (especially after spending the time to do this stuff)... But we could use the rainfall here! So... I guess I shouldn't complain! Besides... The wax job is doing it's thing, so at least I know my detailing wasn't a complete waste... Robi- Good eyes. The wheels are 19x8.5 (front) 19x9.5 (rear). It's a 7 year old Mercedes... Does okay for getting me to and from the office on my 5 minute commute and it's long since paid for, so I keep it around. Would love to buy a new car for myself, but I really don't want the car payment, higher cost to register, depreciation and all the other 'joys' of buying new, so I opted for the cheaper route of new wheels, tires, suspension, etc instead to keep the car at least somewhat interesting to me. Aside from that... It's black. And maintaining the paint finish on this car has always been a nightmare...
  12. Ahhhh... I gotcha... I do think there were a few 2894 powered vintage Daytonas some time ago... Not a large production run, but like the 3133 Poljot powered pieces. Also... I think PureTime was selling a 2894 (movement only) once from a TAG... Maybe a little over a year ago, if I recall correct? They do come around... But I agree. We'll probably never see any mass production pieces with that caliber...
  13. Big Pilot... That could be interesting... Let's hope they do it right! The factories have done a decent job on the other IWCs to date... So, there's definitely promise there. Otherwise... I dunno. Maybe I'll use my fun money to pay down principle on the mortgage, or something uninteresting like that...
  14. Well... The 2894 is a bit different. Not exactly easy to reverse engineer with that DD module sitting on top...
  15. Hmmmm... Now where would I find a buyer for such a watch? Hmmmmm?
  16. If you have a ziploc baggy and a packet of silica, that will help expedite the process a bit...
  17. ...And nothing grabbing my interest... Been trolling the trade section... Dealer's sites... Driving me crazy. When will some new, unprecedented rep come out to steal the show and cause some BIG buzz on the forums?! Don't tell me it's time to start trolling the TZ Showcase?!
  18. Those patrol officers will look plenty chic with those fake Luis Vuitton bags hanging off their arms...
  19. Question... Is that John Kerry, or Miss Understood?
  20. Bought a replica tea cozy once from a guy who knew someone that was supplied from an elderly couple operating a store front run by a small Iowa branch of Mafia funded by Brooklyn wholesalers selling replica tea cozy's. I'll see if they can get replica toothpaste for those interested...
