  1. Daytonas this weekend... As usual...
  2. Bill- Looks NICE!! I think this may be the solution to those looking for a nice Superdome without paying the Superdome price! Looks great... And that's one hell of a bubble!
  3. Nice! That's a beauty!! Is the HP rating crank or wheel HP?
  4. Perhaps the 'break-in period' myth is really more to do with your wearing habits of the watch. i.e. If the watch is observed as running fast/slow in any single position for a duration of, say for example, 24 hours, that same watch may exhibit a smaller (or maybe larger, depending on how well or poorly regulated the movement is) gain/loss while actually wearing the watch, as it is then in constant motion and in different dial up/down/left/right positions throughout the day/night with the arm's motion.
  5. Okay... Top 5.... I agree... Picking your favorite is like picking a favorite child...
  6. Of all the watches in your guys' (and gals') collections, which five could you simply not part with? For me... The El Primero frankenstein twins V23 franken-6265 Modded MBW 1665 And my genuine Omega SM300 (165.024) But then again, I'm quite fond of all the pieces in my collection. To me, they are all keepers
  7. VERY nice!! That is one stunning movement!
  8. No minute repeater here... But I would love to have one someday! Maybe the Chronoswiss Répétition à quarts, as the price is almost reasonable...
  9. I can probably find you the entire bracelet if that's of any interest (78790 with short fliplock). Probably in the $500 - $600 range...
  10. I really like that dial/subdial combination! Looks great! Was wondering... How does this compare in size to a Submariner? Does it wear significantly larger (I'm assuming so, as I believe it's quite a bit thicker)?
  11. I picked up a cheapie from acetimer some months ago... Not a bad product for the price, but one of my personal gripes with it is that the cushions for the watches all seem to be of differing widths, hence some fit nice and snug in the compartments while others are loose and flop around. Still... For $30, I can't complain. Overal finish (I chose the cherry wood) is quite nice, and it stores nicely.
  12. What can I say... You've got a very nice quartet of PAM chronographs here; what's more, I know that this is just a small part of the overall collection Oh, and BTW... Since when do you post pics of your watches?! Hope this is a continuing trend, as I'd love to see more of the kruzer00 collection...
  13. Had to give the ol' MBW some wrist time today...
  14. WOW! That is a stunning duo of Pandas! Not to mention what looks to be no less than FOUR 7753 Daylights?! That's what I call over the top...
  15. Danke, Mr. 913!! You have inspired me to give my own Great White a little wrist time tomorrow...
  16. Wow!! Hard to imagine that the smallest of detail makes for the BIGGEST of improvement!! I dig! NIcely done, ff!
  17. Leave your watch alone... It's +6 sec/24 hours, which is pretty good for a mechanical movement. Besides... If you can't even figure out how to remove the caseback, what makes you think you can adjust/improve your watch's time keeping ability? My advice... Leave it be.
  18. We are all but horological crack fiends in the grand scheme of things...
  19. Black dial Franken-Daytona today...
