I would have some concerns and reservations over an actual 6263 fitted with a 6mm Twinlock. 7mm Twinlock (24-700) is acceptable, however... You could in theory have a 6239 retrofitted with an Oyster replacement dial; it would also be possible for screw down pushers and 7mm Twin/Triplock crown to be fitted as well during service to replace the old pump pushers and 6mm crown. However, such an upgrade would likely involve both crown and pushers to ensure water resistance; I do not believe that an RSC would do one without the other if performing this kind of service change. In addition, I doubt that anyone would retrofit a 6mm Twinlock to replace an originally fitted 7mm crown on an Oyster (i.e. 6263, 6265 etc)...

For non Oyster models, the 6mm is okay (e.g. 6239); for Oyster models (e.g. 6263), you need 7mm...

Don't forget... You also need a 5.3mm crown for a 1675!

I believe you can retrofit the necessary parts to make that conversion...

Hmmmm... After thinking about this some... Maybe it wasn't the Pealrmaster that was offered afterall (but perhaps it was the Masterpiece, rather?)

I believe it would be 0 00RLEX00103 Vintage Explorer II 1655 SS/SS. (I'd link the URL, but that usually resolves to the PC homepage instead of the specific watch I'm trying to link to). ChiMan or Andei3000 would probably know best since they've both knocked out a 1675 build...

Believe me... If you can do the ETAs, fitting a gen Rolex movement in a case that's designed for a gen movement will be a piece of cake! With the ETA swaps and retrofits, you have a number of things to contend with... Everything from aligning datewheel overlays and making sure dials with missing dial feet are straight... Installing the dial with enough clearance for the datewheel so it doesn't rub or stick... Ensuring that the right ETA is installed so the stem lines up center in the tube... Making sure that the case clamps aren't applying too much pressure to the movement, but rather just enough to keep the movement from shifting around when the stem is pulled out to set the time, etc. There are a lot of variables to check and double check, and I've spent many an hour assembling, disassembling, adjusting and repeating many times over to get things just right... Whereas a Rolex 1570 movement going into a case meant for a 1570 is basically plug and play Almost takes the fun out of it all... Almost I'd definitely say that I learned more doing the ETA stuff! Thanks much for the offer, Andy; it's appreciated! I've got a Clarks 22 on the case right now that is being used for mock up and test fitting of the bezel, etc. Once the watch is drawing towards completion, I'll be looking to move to a gen service 25-22 crystal to top that one off

Standard rep hands oughta work okay too... But MBW seem to work best...
