Here are a couple pics of my current crop of 34mm watches. One is in surgery and not shown and I have a couple of sub-34mm examples as well. The silver dial Air-King has the most gen parts with only the ETA movement and hands not being gen. The black dial Air-King is a total rep that I transplanted from a 36mm case into a 34mm. It has been fun building them.

Getting my parts order in today has allowed me to b able to finish several watches I had been gathering parts for. I had gotten several of these gen gold Prince Oysterdate dials and decided I should build a two-tone model. I ordered a two-tone case and a Tudor signed Prince Date two-tone band and with receipt of movements it all came together nicely. I think it looks very sharp but I've decided I'm not really a two-tone person so this one will probably be going on the block soon.
Here's the parts list:
1 - Gen Tudor Prince Oysterdate gold dial..
1 - Rep two-tone 34mm Prince Date case with fluted bezel and Tudor signed crown.
1 - Rep two-tone 19mm Jubilee style Tudor signed bracelet.
1 - ETA 2836-2
1 - Set gold rep Datejust hands.

With all this high-powered buildin' going on I felt kind of left out so I had to toss something together. I'd been gathering parts for this for a while and my movement got here today so I was able to put it together. I think the only thing I'll revisit at a later date is the hands. I had noticed in all of the gen pics that the hands were pointed so I filed the ends on a set of Datejust hands but they need to be a bit more pointy so next time I have it apart I'll file on 'em again. I want to thank alligoat for the really gnarly lookin' period gen band and Ubi for this sweet old gen dial - thanks guyz!!
I decided that for a really authentic look I would leave the case alone so it retains the scratched and scuffed crystal it came with along with the rest of the nicks and bruises it had earned over the years.
Parts List:
1 - Gen Air-King case complete with crystal, bezel, and crown.
1 - ETA 2824 movement
1 - Set Datejust rep hands
1 - Gen riveted Rolex bracelet
1 - Gen Air-King dial

I give this piece two thumbs-up! It's really nice to see this project all buttoned up instead of a pile of parts! It was a real pleasure working with M and Chi on this, especially the excellent working sketch of the bezel as it eliminated virtually all of the trial and error sometimes involved.
I like it, never been that wild about the green bezel but like the Maxi Dial. I think I have one LV dial left maybe I'll swap it into my date Sub for grins.

By-Tor - Not sure about the case but I saw a pic of what was labeled a 14060M on Melrose Jewelry's web site that had rehaut engraving and no lug holes. It just looked, well, wrong...
I measure the installed diameter of the crystal at it's base and them make the bezel .003" - .004" smaller on the ID.
At least they got the bezel pretty close...
Thanks, Mike, I'll probably be getting with you later on about this. If I put on a "strap" (sorry, just really don't like wearing 'em) it will need to be one of the ones that is "formed" at the end so there's not a huge gap between the end of the strap and the case.
This is the "Dauphine Look", I think I like it...
Chi, you never know, might be something really easy and I'm assuming it's an a21j. I'll keep you in mind and we'll cross that bridge when we get there!
Yes, I think that stick "Datejust style" hands would probably look nice but I'm thinking a dial from this era should have more stylistic hands. I'm leaning toward a set of Dauphine style... This probably won't get much wrist time so I would expect I'll never wear out the crown!
