I have ordered a 3804 from ofrei and it is not the one with the "Rollie" size DW...

When Cuong (sp?) was handling the shipping and stuff it was never a problem subbing Priority Mail for UPS. This new byotch adds whatever the priority mail cost is to the UPS ground charge on their web site. Screw 'em... Borel does everything via First Class Mail so small parts may only have a buck or two shipping.
-
They have a new broad doing the web order stuff, apparently. For years I had always requested my order be sent USPS, as I'm not always around to sign for an UPS, and they send it at the same price. My last two orders this dizzy [censored] has charged me DOUBLE shipping, or something on the order of $18 to mail CONUS. The first time she did that I raised hell, got an apology from somebody else, and received a credit for the overcharge. This last time I complained and she said I should feel lucky because what she decided to charge was a good rate going to HI!!! I wrote back and told her that I didn't know what she was smokin' but I was in Texas... No refund on that one so I wrote, bitched, and told them to not expect any more business from me and they didn't seem to give a $hit so pi$$ on 'em.

The new year's first disappointment: The SA3135 does not take genuine hands

Well, that just sux a big one... Other than the painted on "engraving" I was quite impressed with the one in TXRobs YM. -
It would be very easy to turn out a "White Space Dweller" dial decal like the pic E posted above. Hmmm...
-
M, this dial has "SPACE DWELLER" in silver the same as yours but it might be a bit washed out in these pics. I do have the "Space Dweller" artwork finished and printed up some dial decals but I'm not 1oo% happy with them. I still vow to build a "Red Space Dweller"!

Yeah, this morning I thought, "Tu-dor or not Tu-dor, that is the question..." So, as "punny" as that sounds I decided to 'flake it. Can I get a rim-shot?

LH has been a really bad influence on many of us! Spring-bars are now installed and it's boxed and ready to ship! T This is the one M corrupted me into building...

Y'all all still hung over? WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yo!

If some of our dealers would just buy a box of the good "fat bar" end-links I'm sure they could sell a ton of 'em, triple their money, and still give us a good seal.

This dial, in person and in direct sunlight, is dazzling! I have a few of these dials if anybody get's the itch to build something...
-
Thanks, Chi! This one might belong to Rob as I made the mistake of letting him see a preview of the project yesterday...

I have wanted a Blue DJ Franken for quite some time but it seems the dial prices always skyrocket out of sight so I'll have to settle for a "pure" rep for right now. I picked up some of these rep dials that are drop-dead sexy in the flesh so I decided they would make a good "stand-in" until I luck upon a gen dial I could afford. All in all it is a great looking dial, the markers have good alignment, and the "sunburst" in direct light is eye-popping. Under magnification the only thing, aesthetically, that I'm not real wild about is the coronet but it looks fine on the wrist. Most features of this dial yell "modern" era to me but the bottom of the dial is imprinted T SWISS MADE T which would make me think a bit older which makes me think I might should drill the lugs and install a plexi crystal. Hopefully one of our esteemed experts will chime in on these details. Here's a few pics...

I've bought 6 pair and they have all been stamped 555. That's not to say, though...

TJ, unfortunately I haven't been able to find these end-links from anybody else.
-
It would be kinda neat to have them in a sticky or something...

parcel from china to uk has turned up in usa...any ideas?
jmb replied to bamcky2k's topic in General Discussion
I've had wrong tracking numbers before but so far (knock, knock...) have never had a correct one go to the wrong country - I have had stuff get routed all over the country, though. I remember getting a package mailed to me from only a couple hundred miles away and it then spent the next two weeks touring the country before finally getting to my mailbox.- 18 replies

Seller warning not to post QC pics on forum, is this normal?
jmb replied to picoweb's topic in General Discussion
Personally I can see some wisdom behind posting and nit-picking QC pics of a high-end/high dollar rep that is being hyped as 1:1, made from disassembled gen, blah, blah, blah. OTOH, nit-picking QC pics for a $29 Silix Special is absurd! -
Making a BP Tourby is kinda fun...

Curious that it went into Customs! Maybe put your tracking number in the search at usps.com and see if you get a hit.- 18 replies

What I've noticed on a lot of rep (Rollie) dials is the markers have a film or residue on them which makes them sometimes look dull or blotchy. In these cases I've use a bit of Rodico and plastic tweezer to "buff" off the grunge with pretty good results.

Other than gen the selection of aftermarket end-links for 2mm bars is extremely limited. If only somebody would do a rep Jubilee end-link for 2mm...
