  1. Bezel construction looks good to my untrained eye...
  2. You have to take what he says with a large grain of salt! I have used several pair of these lately and I will give credit to them being much more solid than the typical end-link. Opening up the "tubes" in regular end-links to accept 2mm bars is usually problematic but no worries with these. Mine are stamped 555.
  3. Oh man, that one is counteracting my blood-pressure meds!
  4. Are you saying the slot is too narrow or not deep enough? If "too narrow" then you need to file/stone a screwdriver to the proper thickness to fit the slot. If too shallow then the Loc-Tite will work in a pinch...
  5. Thanks, E. F, I'm dreading seeing what shape this crowd is in next Monday then!
  6. I would suspect a 16610 size insert would work, they do on the cases I use. I really don't know what the size of the gen dial is...
  7. Yeah, they're all built on a regular "Sub chassis". I'll look at my last batch of dials and see if I at least have one that has "sans serif" Oyster Perpetual printing - that might help a bit...
  8. Not much can be done about dial diameter without starting from scratch but the most glaring details have been mentioned - CGs, needs non-SEL band, and proper size lug holes. Oh, and the insert needs to be fitted properly...
  9. Kurt, that sux and having been there myself in the past several years I can totally empathize with you. In my case I totally switched career fields (from IT to machining) which probably indirectly led me to this hobby. e-mail me if there is anything I can help you with...
  10. Strange that nobody seems to want to start a wristie! Still wearing my Christmas present...
  11. My youngest got me sort of a neat watch, even if it is quartz!
  12. I have a new "standard" A7750 Daytona case sets like this (minus cyclops)...
  13. The newer models have no character or soul...
  14. Thanks for the good vibes. Hopefully will know something next week. Speaking of Tudors...
  15. Most standard rep bracelets will likely have numbering that might be correct only by accident and the majority will have end-links marked 455b. Some of the higher priced bracelets may pay attention to the numbering but you pay dearly. Personally I could care less about the numbering as long as it looks correct as I have no designs on making anybody think it's authentic...
  16. That looks like that Eskimo lady the cheechako had to wrestle before heading out to the wilderness to violate a Griz!
  17. Very nice looking and fantastic attention to detail.
  18. I love your "rusty nail" technique - definitely outside the box thinking at it's finest!
  19. Thanks, F. Neck and shoulder issues which are making it very difficult to sit at the workbench and play with watches. Added to needing carpel tunnel surgery I haven't been able to churn out very much work lately. Hopefully I can get everything fixed early next year and get back to normal. Sux gettin' old...
  20. I'm down until probably after the first of the year. The drive I had all of my CAD drawings and CNC code on went [censored]-up due to a firmware issue and I just shipped the drive to Seagate yesterday to get it resurrected so a couple weeks transit and 2 days in the lab...
