  1. *this is not a pre-order post, just a post to gain interest, to get to know your opinions and to get to know the quantity I need to get produced Guys, Since I'm working on a franken I really want to go the FRANKEN way, which means as much as possible as per gen. One of those things that are important to me are datewheels. Since the standard LWO movement does not come with a datewheel close to the gen I wanted to make a custom datewheel as per gen. The LWO movement uses an ETA2892 movement as a base, the 2892 datewheel fits this movement. I have found a manufacturer who is willing to make the datewheels, but since there are not many franken owners (at least not many that have posted their franken), I would like to gain interest to get to know how many pieces there need to be produced. I was thinking about 20 - 25 pieces. As for the question, "Will you do this for the A7750 movement as well?", I am considering this. I will await the result of these datewheels (since quantity is smaller) and if they came out great then I will think about doing it for the A7750's as well. This is the final design before production, the font is thinner, but this is because of the fact that the printing will make it thicker. Post in this thread if you are interested in a datewheel. Please only post if you are truly interested, I don't want to deal with member being interested but when time comes to pay they back out.
  2. update from BC: "Here is a link to the first viewing of Prototype 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL26IGEBzlE As can be seen, we are 95% there. I had no choice to reject the initial AR because we can still see a slight blue hue. The delay will be 2-3 weeks."
  3. mate, you almost killed me with those pics such a hot piece! too bad I'm too young for gold
  4. No, just to help the OP. I did a run on AP polo shirts once, and there comes more hassle with it than you would think. Lot's of members that say they are interested etc. but when the time comes they have to pay, lot of them back out... So why making new shirts if there already is a good source (feedback on ebay)? @ Chronoluv, checking AP each day on eBay makes me notice those things
  5. These are the ones being sold on eBay right? shirt: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-AUDEMARS-PIGUET-Custom-Mens-Classic-Black-T-Shirt-/110977873380?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d6cbf5e4 listing # 110977873380 hoodie: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-3XL-4XL-Audemars-Piguet-Custom-Black-Hooded-Sweatshirt-/110978109139?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d6cf8ed3 listing # 110978109139
  6. This is one of the best and closest AP reps you can get. The case is bead blasted titanium and scratches easily, but that doesn't take away it is a true beauty. I can only recommend it. For more info view my review, this review is from the 2nd or 3rd version that came out. Review & pictorial: http://www.rwg.cc/topic/133161-ap-roo-chronopassion-review-pictorial/
  7. Correct, I asked for the Montauk Highway and he agreed on this project. PoA will be away for a while, first one up is the 57th street. Sample will be ready within 1-2 weeks according to T.
  8. I have no knowledge about Rolex, but I know a lot of you do, what is your opinion on the new Noob explorer II? This is still a sample, not the final product. - ICHS - Bezel numbers off? - Crown off? - Endlinks?
  9. The navy is not that close to the gen. The Safari is though
  10. On the gen strap the grooves are NON continuous.
  11. As for forwarding you can always use ukpostbox.com, I've used it as well, it's good, works well, but their prices went up a lot lately. Puretime uses this as a forwarding service as well.
  12. They updated the black RC already but in a wrong way, let me say that they only updated the datewheel... I asked for the other updates as well, and I'm awaiting it! It's quite quiet around the whole Noob factory... I hope nothing is wrong.
  13. Thanks for the tip! Just found a model that I like quite a lot! Loake Dovedale boots. Will check out myhabit.com straight away!
  14. Guys, With the winter getting closeby I'm on the hunt for a new pair of boots. I do like the Loake Military boot style. Any thoughts? Other brands? Similar shoes?
  15. No aftermarket strap beats the gen. Jacobstraps makes some nice ones, HKtan as well. If you want to buy a rubber strap just ask for one and if they ask for a serial number tell them it's a strap for your dad or so, as a gift...
  16. You're welcome. ETA2846, I sourced 2 of them on eBay, with hacking mechanism, I bought 2 watches which had the movement and then transplanted them. Rubber or leather straps close to the gen are the gen straps . You can buy them at an AP Boutique or at the AP service center in Clearwater FL, USA. The hornbacks aren't cheap, the rubber straps are OK.
  17. Yes, I think that's how Avitt does it, but the chemical stuff might be a DIY mod, which makes it interesting
