Thanks but I already did it like that. I was just wondering if anyone uses any specific shoe care they can advice + how to. The shoe polish @ work is a good idea! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I must say after a few weeks of wearing the loakes, they are great for their price! Their oxfords are ok, but not on par with my Church's or Tricker's. I like them a lot though and good ones for the moments I can't wear my more expensive shoes.

Guys, I need some tips on shoe care, how do you polish, wax, maintain your shoes? I simply use grass and shoe cream but I experience it's not sufficient enough. I'm talking about shoe care for oxfords, monks and brogues. Anyone who has any tips?

Thanks! I have forgotten to add that this watch looks absolutely stunning in the sun. Too bad it's wintertime for pics... In case you wonder, I do like the removed paint on the tachymeter. That I have done myself.

Hey guys, About a year ago I posted a thread about a Tudor 7032 build. I was asking around which parts to get etc... I never got around of sending it to a modder to get it assembled. Last December I finally did... I have been checking out modders in the EU as I don't like shipping overseas after a bad experience. My choice was made and I agreed to work with RolexAddict aka JJ, he is a modder who is mainly active on RWG1 & RWG2. Great guy and he is located in Paris, France. We tried to meet up as I'm quite often in Paris, I was at the week I wanted to send him the watch but unfortunately he was out that weekend, too bad, I'd have love to have a chat with him. I told him my specifications of what I wanted and told him to take it easy on this project as I had time. So he did. This week I received my beauty and what can I say, I love it. JJ is a true gent and a great guy to work with! I have been wearing it on a bracelet as well as on a vintage tropic strap (the smell of the strap is vintage as well, more like your grand mom's closet she hasn't opened for years) I would like to thank JJ but LHOOQ as well, when I was seeking parts he was the guy to go to when I had questions, his knowledge about this watch is wonderful! Thanks M! I know this Monte Carlo/Homeplate is not perfect, but I love it and it makes me want to mod it even more. What I question is the big seconds hand, the top of it hits the white seconds index, is this correct, yes or no as I have seen gens with a longer hand and hitting it at the same point as my rep. The minute hand of the watch should still be a tad shorter (to the middle of the white index), the centers of the subdial hands should be unpainted, datewheel will be changed to the correct font and I will send off the caseback to another great member who has great dental skills. This is in fact my first Tudor, first Vintage piece and first Rolex case design in my collection. Go figure... Since it's arrival not a single AP has been on my wrist...

If you do this process, be warned it's a very dangerous product, you need to use gloves that are acid resistant, use glasses and a chemical mask. Also you need to ask around where to dispose of the acid after the work is done etc. Inform you very well before doing it. Also take a look at the case every 15min. as it can damage the case.

I have no idea which refinishing you need to do with bead blasting, I took some pics of the process and will post them up soon. The problem with the bead blasting is that sharp edges etc can be gone after that process so I opted for a chemical reaction.

It worked by using 32% hydrochloric acid and sandpaper in combination with hand work.

Guys, another update, after having lot's of trouble with the original DW manufacturer I have decided to go with another company which has been very professional this far. The datewheels will be produced by one of the Swiss leading DW manufacturers. Yes, you've read it well. The cost of the final datewheel will be $51 + shipping. Not cheap but reason is that it's a small DW run (only for franken AP ROO's) + it's made in Switzerland. Lead time is around 5-6 weeks since they need to make a brand new printing plate for the correct font. The only thing left now is the colour match, this will be done by tomorrow and then they will start. I hope you guys are still interested cuz I'm investing... Updates will follow

I experienced the same with a $7k Girard Perregaux... Nightmare. In fact my package never arrived, it got stolen in the warehouse before the delivery. Good luck with getting your money back, I'm sure we will keep an eye out. It's sad to see such a beauty go missing...

haha, nice, looks cool! I like it -
Guys, We all know the current sec@12 model does have the flaws with the hole in the buckle, so I ordered a ROO quartz clasp. The quartz clasp quality ain't that good as the sec@12 and it has another flaw. You attach the clasp to the strap via a pin and screw, the quartz clasp does not have the tiny screw and has got the pin/bar which functions as a screw. A flaw. Nitpicker I am I detached the part with the holes on the sec@12 clasp and replaced it with the quartz one. Fits snug and looks great now Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Guys, Look at this one, clearly a fake. Strange thing is that he's a big seller and keeps saying it's a gen... It clearly isn't. @Sneed, there are threads on every forum about this cyclops project, I propsed the project and BC agreed on producing it. Offcourse this was going to take time since we wanted a high quality cyclops without any hue, which is not that easy. That took time. This was quite clear from the threads. As for not enough orders, well, if members tell they are interested and willing to send PP immediately as a pre-order then they should do it. Once they need to pay lot's of them backed out... Somehow I agree what you mean. Nobody is very pleased about it. But in the end we're getting there. We're not talking about a factory here, it's a one man job. I do understand your "frustrations" however. As for pricing: $47.50 + Shipping per AP Lens Shipping Prices: shipped from the US to you, so if you are in the United States: USPS Priority with tracking: $4.95 USPS Express: $18.95 Outside of the United States: USPS Priority Mail: $18 USPS Express (EMS): $34
