  1. Careful with what you're doing...Try to take some detailed close-ups (no flash, longer exposure) of the sides of the links with the pins or screws. (We) can assist you better if we know what we're dealing with...
  2. I think it's a small discrepancy considering how rare it is to see one of these around town...I still like it!
  3. I don't think the '07 Cousteau has wood on the back ...Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
  4. Another vote for the BCE...The date font is an easy fix with a lello datewheel!
  5. These watches are surprisingly comfortable on the wrist! I visited the AD in KL and had a great time trying on the various models...If there is a dealer near you, go and check them out!
  6. The rep's CG lever is all black. Only the pivot point should be black...the lever should be brushed SS...Could be an easy fix?
  7. My 1st impression is that the logo is STILL too big...
  8. WOW!!! Here are photos of a gen for reference: Looks like I'm adding another to my '08 list...
  9. Is the He valve functional? Great Franken...Wear it well!
  10. Now that you have those BLINGY-gold letters available, you NEED to pimp the case of your watch! Let your imagination and creativity run wild...
  11. WOW...I'm surprised I didn't see this one...I troll the bay as well for such deals! I think you may have let a good one go. The seller's feedback is not that bad. With close to 40,000 transaction and over 98% positive...that's pretty good. Kick yourself, but not too hard!
  12. My visit to the Tourneau in Las Vegas was about the same...The more ADs I visit, the more I draw direct comparisons between them and a cheesy car salesperson! (I hope no one here gets offended by this!)
  13. First of all, don't adjust the date using the quickset between the hours of 8:00 and 2:00...A strange thing with this movement. Sounds like it could just use an ETA day-date wheels. The Asian ones tend to have some minute QC issues that causes them to be mis-aligned thus causing change over issues. There is a great write-up on changing out the date wheels below: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=37058
  14. Replies to your Qs... (1) Get one the trusted modders (The Zigmeister, Vac, TWP) around here to fix'er up. (2) Contact "lello" for a date wheel and install it (either by yourself or a watchsmith) (3) Start trolling the forums, eBay, TZ, and good luck!
  15. Just saw that! Compare to these gen ref shots... Not a bad first attempt...
  16. Great ref. chart! I've seen this before but forgot where it went...Thanks!
  17. Contact Lello! He should have them ready in a week or two...
  18. There appears to be various ways the numbers and markers were applied or engraved...So should it be a "sausage" or "engraved" numbers?
  19. Marty, I've been watching these on the "Bay" and usually they go for at least $1200 to $1700. If someone else knows of a good source for these, please chime in... Happy Hunting! P.S. Can't wait to see how your project is coming along!
  20. There was once a dealer that carried these... I even saw one that was double-sided and opened both the 44mm and 47mm cases! Who has one? Where did you get it? How much did you pay? Are these still available at a "reasonable" price? Thanks in advance for your input!
  21. Wearing the exact same model on my wrist right now! Love it, but I would love it more if I could get a new CG for it...The upside down pin has always bothered me on this model. My search continues...
  22. Not sure what you mean by "doubled on one hand up"...Please post a detailed photo of the problem. (We) should be able to diagnose the issue for you more effectively...
  23. Hey freddy...Here are some reference photos for comparison... Version I: (Note - the red letters are REALLY faded) Version II: Version III: Version IV: Version V: Hope this helps...
