  1. I would be sad to see TRC down any longer...Does anyone know what's up?
  2. Oooooo....I like this one too! Shouldn't be too difficult...It appears that the (makers) could just flip a 7750 around and leave out the 12-hour sub-dial!
  3. The lowest I've seen them is $1650...But I've also seen SMP Chronos for $1200 and even the new Speedmaster Date for $1500! Like all newly repped watches and reps for that matter, there will always be some minor flaws, but for the price, I think the TT3 is great! I've tried these on at the AD and they are extremely comfortable on the wrist. Just my 2-cents...
  4. Freakin' Schweet! I've always liked this model...The images from Silix reveal a very impressive rep! (Gen images for reference) This goes onto my "Wish List" for 2008...
  5. Looks Great! I bought a replacement A7750 that came with a DW that looks just like an ETA DW...I guess I lucked out!
  6. Darn it...I'm already over budget for the month and I keep finding some great deals on gens...Check it... http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...011#msg_3422293 If it's still around next month, it's mine!
  7. Check it... http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...8011#msg_342292 I'm already over my budget for the month, otherwise I would be making this seller an offer on a BEAUTIFUL watch.
  8. Check this out... http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...011#msg_3422920 WOW...Never knew that the vintage GMT's had alternating colors on the date wheel. Really cool!
  9. The BCE has a more classic and not-so-sporty look, so I prefer to see it with the bracelet or on fine leather.
  10. Thanks for guidance! I removed the hour and minute hands and reset them. I tapped them a few extra times each using my setting tools. It appears to have worked. Only time will tell now...
  11. Very cool design...Considering one...What is your wrist size?
  12. I've always felt that I won't be able to pull of an all gold watch until my 40s and with some more gray hair. Doesn't look quite right on younger pups...Very nice though!
  13. What percentage of those users are "Supporters"? Revealing this could be quite interesting...
  14. Need some advice... I swapped movements on my Omega SMP Chrono project, but now the minute hand keeps slipping off the post. After setting it, I let run for a couple of hours to see how it does. Everything works fine until I gently shake the watch to wind it. Upon one gentle shake, the minute hand comes loose from the post. The before and after movements are both A7750, so the post size should be the same. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem? New hands or a little bit of glue? Your thoughts please...Thanks in advance! Regards, DuDro
  15. Ok...Here are some more gen images for reference: Weird...Some images show the windows with straight edges and other images show them slightly curved?!?
  16. Interesting...Should the "Day" and "Month" windows be curved outward in the center?
  17. Darn it!!! More chronos that I NEED to buy!
  18. At first I was confused...I recently watched "Ma Vie En Rose" and thought you were referring to the same movie. Check it... http://imdb.com/title/tt0119590/ Cute movie...only watch it if you have some time to kill...
  19. WOW! Thanks for this great review! After reading your review, I've fallen for my gen Explorer II again...Your piece puts mine to shame. Mine shows the scars from being my daily beater for about 4-years.
  20. Welcome back dude...Don't know who you are, but I'm looking forward to see some old stories revived...
  21. Looks like I'll be picking up a few of these this year! And with a short trip to my friendly, neighborhood optical engineer for some doube-sided AR...Ooooooo....Can't wait! Thanks for your write-up and the photos!!!
  22. RG, Thanks for your input! I will call them again... When I spoke with them earlier, the sales rep rattled off a list of "sizes" from 5.05 to 6.05. I need to ask them what those numbers mean. I guess I could play it safe and order the lowest / thinnest height so it doesn't run the risk of rubbing up against the bottom of the dial.
