  3. i didn't participate in the recent flame fest(s) but it just goes to show how good we really do have it. our guys are the best hands down no competition. and you get a free piano from andrew...
  4. give credit where credit is due - it was a funny quip let's see what happens next
  5. so then that means that the wm9 models are the same tw models that can be obtained through our channels for a few dollars less, right? (that was the only point i was trying to make earlier, btw)
  6. 1. panerai 192 - love at first sight. one of the few times my heart skipped a beat when opening the package. add the fact that the true ti/ss models are hard to come by these days and you have something quite special. 2. dw 6263 - it doesn't get the wrist time like the others get, but there is something so alluring about that delicate piece of art. such a contrast to the 192. 3. cartier santos 100 TT - it is so special since it has the most potential. the other two on the list are great right out of the box, while this one is awaiting our dial commission and a strap from hktan. with those two bits installed, i'd be a pig in [censored]. one thing that i have noticed is that for many of the members that have done some work to their watches or have had them sent for work seem to be more special to them. but i guess when you invest the time and money into making it better/unique/more accurate, it will be more special to you. and also you'd most likely mod the ones you like the best, and want to make even better. keep em coming!
  7. i meant that you can do better price-wise. i wasn't referring to the quality, per-se because in fact i have no first hand knowledge of the quality of these at all. if you tell me that one could scale mount everest or recover the remains of the ss titanic with these, i'd believe you and that would be fine. and yes i was serious.
  8. i thought this was the guy that used to work with river somehow and then they parted ways. from what i remember, the quality of these were good yet overpriced (obviously). it's not a scam per se, but you can certainly do better.
  9. thanks guys, there is now 8 more dollars in my watch fund which would have been blown on this movie.
  10. TAG if you want to be recognized by commoners IWC if you want to be recognized by wis & co i'd throw another vote for IWC
  11. the looney bin
  12. deepest sympathies to you and your family
  13. it's so easy when you've got good material to start with...it's pippen & jordan amigo - you set 'em up, and i'll knock 'em down
  14. should we tell him about the new CDG movements?
  15. glad you guys got a chuckle out of the sky moon, but on a serious note one of my most frequently worn watches is the 192, which is in the neighborhood of 15K in gen. and then i'll go and wear one of my DW's to the movies, so it my actual limit is lets say nothing more than 50K. in fact, i don't own a sky-moon rep yet, but if and when i do get one, that WILL end up being my upper limit.
  16. they're all naked par for the course i guess
  17. 30 seems like an absolute STEAL to me. i spoke with 2 local engravers and they wanted much much more than that and couldn't make any promises about the end result. i'm really digging this project, keep up the good work
  18. please stop posting images of the purdeys, they hurt my eyes
  19. what does it depend on j?
  20. Admin i would have thought that you'd be the one to take it off their hands...and @thedoc any comments on the jules audemars? i have had my eye on this one for a while and never really saw a review (at least not recently)

  24. and a movement that can be as finicky as the finickiest woman - but DW owners will attest that it's damn well worth it. this one, since it has been worked on by the master, should hum along without missing a beat. and @kruzer in my shock in seeing the transfer, i forgot to welcome you to the club. hope you'll forgive the faux pas!
  25. that copper stitch = droooooooooooooooooolworthy
